QUOTE(myomega @ Apr 3 2020, 03:07 PM) My strong guess is that it'll follow the timeline like last years iPad Air and Mini refresh. Both those models were announced on March 18th 2019. Both were approved by SIRIM on April 1st/2nd. Both were launched on April 9th of that year.My prediction? Can relax until next Thursday (9/4). |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 3 2020, 08:47 PM) Nice! I was told by a friend with so-called inside connections that it will only be available in May, or at the soonest after the MCO is lifted. Let's see Most likely your inside connection is referring to stock availability for local resellers like Machines, Switch, Seng Heng etc. If last year's iPad Mini/Air release is used as a guide, Apple MY's online store is the first place in Malaysia you can buy the 2020 iPad Pro from. Last year came out around 9am ๐ |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 9 2020, 01:35 PM) I placed mine, expected delivery is 17-21 April .. Hopefully get before it .. .. it is 12.9 inch version btw. Mine is 11 inch! Most likely should arrive by next week, Friday latest I think. Apple has a known habit of under promising their delivery schedule so should definitely arrive earlier! |

These are the current local stores that are offering pre-orders for the 2020 iPad Pro's
1) Machines (pick up/free delivery, deposit RM300) - https://www.machines.com.my/collections/ipad-family 2) Switch (pick up ONLY, deposit RM300) - https://switch.com.my/pre-order-your-ipad-pro/ 3) Mac City (pick up/free delivery, deposit RM 300) - https://maccity.com.my/ipad-pro All in all, due to the further extension of MCO till 28th April (and maybe even beyond that) it'll be faster to get delivery of 2020 iPad Pro if you order via Apple website. Historically local resellers will only get stock when 1st wave of Apple online store buyers get it. This post has been edited by zack.gap: Apr 10 2020, 09:23 PM |

For those yet to get a case for their iPad Pro I'd strongly recommend the brand ESR. They're having a sale on Lazada today and you can stack up the 20% off coupon + free delivery!
Mine is this ; https://s.lazada.com.my/s.0gXuf I choose it because it strongly resembled the one from Spigen but with improvements in the flaps - https://www.spigen.com/collections/ipad-pro...=31731909197871 |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 12 2020, 02:30 AM) Yup, i bought the same case ESR. Placed order on friday but not yet ship. Hopefully can get it by next week. Placed mine on March 26th! Got it on April 6th so about 10 days total.Did you get yours? How long they take to get it delivered to you from your order? Was considering to get their paper-like screen protector as well but read reviews how it collects dirt + wears out apple pencil nib... |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 12 2020, 05:50 PM) No change for me either bro (still in processing). I took a look at a few other iPad forums around the world and I'm seeing consistent delays in shipping. My understanding is that there's a supply shortage of iPads across the range because domestic demand spiked up in China (and globally) due to the lockdown (parents buying for kids to do e-learning etc). Hopefully with upliftment of lockdown, Foxconn will ramp up production and we should get it soon. If status doesn't change by Monday then I'll probably call Apple hotline to enquire about situation. |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 12 2020, 08:51 PM) Mine was originally due on 23rd to 27th April but I have a strong suspicion that ours will be in the same shipment from Singapore.QUOTE(andrewtho @ Apr 12 2020, 10:07 PM) So what cases are you guys going to rock with your iPad Pro? I'll be getting this one when it releases https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/slim...o-pro?crid=1762 Iโm not sure if the Magic Keyboard is going to be enough, if youโre gonna chuck it to a bag after use etc. Gonna pair it with the magic trackpad 2 or a good ole bluetooth mouse |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 13 2020, 11:45 AM) Congrats bro! So it went straight from processing to shipped? Are they using DHL as carrier?I'm surpised it's shipping from China and not from SG. Supply must be super low QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 13 2020, 11:50 AM) The logitech is quite nice tho but do you think this is better than magic keyboard? Or perhaps the apple current keyboard? I prefer Logitech's keyboard over Apple but that's mainly personal preference since I'm used to the one on iPad Air 2 logitech keyboard. The bad side is no trackpad. It does not look like laptop without it. Haha. And I prefer mouse over trackpad tbh haha. More precise and can control pointer better |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Apr 13 2020, 04:10 PM) That's because most of the stocks are stored in the China warehouse, not Singapore. So I just got off a call from Apple CS. It seems those who engraved their iPad Pros will get their stock from China whereas the non-engraved ones from Singapore which explains the differences in shipping times.Singapore's warehouse is managed by DB Schenker - mainly smaller items only due to storage space constrains. QUOTE(andrewtho @ Apr 13 2020, 04:10 PM) Yup, its called Logitech Slim Folio but ironically its rather bulky + heavy! I honestly don't mind because it has bumpers on the corners for protection but those who are sensitive to weight might not like it |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Apr 13 2020, 05:35 PM) Ah lucky! Do update us when it reaches Malaysia okay? QUOTE(andrewtho @ Apr 13 2020, 05:41 PM) Thanks for your feedback - will probably stray away since I'm looking at the 12.9, imagine + added weight Haha true. For me its more about protection. Magic keyboard unfortunately does not cover the corners/sides |
