Just recently bought the new iPad using education price so I saved around RM500 (I'm an actual university student haha :'D). Anyway, should I buy Apple care now or just wait until the 1 year warranty almost expires?

i plan to buy the 128gb version with my AMEX to get the 5% weekend discount.
but last time when i buy the airpod pro, my card was charged on weekend instead of weekdays. rugi my discount.
is this common? let say you buy today but they charge your credit card different day
