Using PON Stick can display Astro Fiber VLAN ID? installer refuse to tell what VLAN which cannot use custom router
Which Infra are you on?Home Networking Ditch ONU, use GPON SFP on Business Grade Router, 2.5G ONU for Unifi & Maxis, NO NEED VLAN

Btw just sharing that Skyworth vendor ID is CWTC, it's not the same as their China domestic vendor ID which is SKYW CWTC is very useful |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Jul 26 2024, 03:11 PM) You know what, I tried Skyworth that Maxis use, with TM friend who on my side, the OLT still give same ME 171 remain same even 0x601 (VoIP) and 0xe01 (VEIP) are not exist on Skyworth!!! Yea, I believe the OLT configured to provide the exact same ME 171 profile to all universal ONU model. The latest Skyworth combo box with 4 LAN can override ME 171 and remap port on webUI. I can configure it to bridge whatever port I want.friend said it should automatically update ME 171 by making VLAN 400 to 0x101 (LAN 1) sadly his level not high enough to remove so called 'dited' (account bind to S/N and specific ME 171 profile) well this issue, modification needed as my PON Stick to override ME 171 as usual » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Btw, when I feed a valid HWTC SN/model/FW/HW version to a HWTC OLT, the ME 171 will be slightly different or won't even get ME 171 at all. I suspect something to do with ME 350/370/373. Not sure if you face the same issue. On the bright side, HWTC performance been excellent cause it's quite impossible to oversell bandwidth on HWTC OLT. The OLT won't allow to allocate more bandwidth than available. It will return an insufficient bandwidth error. That's why ISP like FHTT. However, I believe the ISP misconfigured the DBA profile on HWTC OLT. They probably set my DBA profile at 1000. But, the HWTC OLT will round down into multiple of 64 which means technically I am capped at 960Mbps (15*64). This post has been edited by blacktubi: Jul 26 2024, 03:59 PM |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Jul 26 2024, 05:45 PM) Screenshot from TM friend, this happen when using SkyWorth GN630E, VLAN 400 unable to initialized I have both the GN630E and GN630V but didn't do a full teardown. Decent quality and both come with heatsink. The SoC is hidden inside the EMI shield.![]() That Skyworth Combo Box seem has same layout as this WebGUI by Realtek: base version, Top Main Menu, Sidebar Submenu ![]() updated, Top Main Menu with Submenu below ![]() all these came same from Realtek Luna SDK, is anyone has teardown that Skyworth Combo? Suppose ME171 told ONT where VLAN suppose to be, where VLAN should bind to LAN port and VLAN tag to tag or untag... Mainly PON Stick had to override ME 171 and use PON Side VLAN to bridge at single SFP interface, eg: eth0 But many ONT override and ignore ME 171, like this better not using ME 171 at all, just ME 84 like TIME Oversell bandwidth on HWTC? look at Maxis NGBB, bigmojo having the fastest 2Gbps, clocked at ~2185Mbps download compared with Unifi@ZTE only 2100Mbps I don't know how OLT operate the bandwidth, like in So-net in Japan, using my PON Stick Nijika, it cause upload speed overshoot and Nokia OLT can issue connection termination, I told them create a QoS just to limit at 1000Mbps and no disconnect after that... looking back Allo at Port Dickson, also using Nokia OLT, the 1Gbps plan always around 940Mbps even in 2.5G mode, I guess Allo know 2.5G ONT and not to oversell the bandwidth, perhaps my fault went to Pendakwah Teknologi in attempt to replace Calix ONT with cooperation with Allo Engineer Huawei OLT way of managing bandwidth for each ONT on GPON L2 level is known as DBA. There's multiple T-CONT for different services and each T-CONT have their own DBA profile. It's more or less similar on other OLT. I've tried a 2Gbps PPPOE account and I am getting the same 950Mbps as I am limited by my OLT DBA bandwidth profile. |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Jul 27 2024, 01:32 PM) Can you open and remove the heatsink and see what SoC Skyworth using? Unfortunately, both units don't belong to me so I can't do any teardown. The D-Link ONR is bad news, kwss found several CVE and I verify with other guy has same CVE Id, 'other guy' found more CVE As I said before, D-Link ONR can be infected firmware, thus disallow bridging + become zombie/botnet. It is possible some user having issue slow speed when using D-Link ONR, also some user cannot bridge... Hopefully TM / D-Link will fix the issue eventually. |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 22 2024, 04:23 PM) Welp, I am no one to Asus, as Asus see me as typical consumer No longer have the RT-BE88U with me but I am checking with ASUS if HiSGMII is supportedI try check if 2.5G SFP auto nego is detect via i2c sfp or AsusWRT has own auto nego logic, might clone i2c info just to make 2.5G SFP work flawlessly I try ask blacktubi to borrow his RT-BE88U, Hope this is viable option high-end flexible replace for D-Link Will update here Note: ASUSWRT VLAN is super complex now due to their latest Guest Network Pro feature, ideally try to solve it on GPON stick will be better This post has been edited by blacktubi: Sep 22 2024, 04:26 PM |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Sep 22 2024, 04:29 PM) aww man... haha can ignore my PM Btw GPL for RT-BE88U is available for download, not sure if you will find anything useful from therething is HiSGMII is Realtek Proprietary modification of overclocked SGMII, also check 2.5G BaseX supported? My PON Stick follow this Linux SFP patch: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/cf11.../sfp-bus.c#L327 Addr 0x06 Value 0x00 Unspecified 1000Base-LX Addr 0x0c Value 0x1f (3100MBd) If Asus detect by i2c EEPROM Vendor Name and Vendor Part Number for auto detect, then I would use HUAWEI for it's name just make RT-BE88U happy ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Oct 13 2024, 10:53 PM) like I said, the box is use same hardware as PON Stick, Do you reverse engineer or they give you the GPL source of that ONU to compile your firmware? so, effectively like PON Stick with HiSGMII Ethernet Converter you would see this on the ONU Box: ![]() so, ONU Box = PON Stick + HiSGMII Ethernet Converter performance wise, should be same I also looking for alternative to this RTL based, perhaps looking at EcoNet SoC I tested that model back then but found it to be super unstable. Not sure if it's hardware or software related. Would be really great if you can solve that issue, personally know many people ready to buy it from you. Edit: Don't PM me to ask what model is it. Support local developer and get it from Anime4000 This post has been edited by blacktubi: Oct 14 2024, 06:52 PM |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Apr 24 2025, 02:02 PM) blacktubi PRSXFENG tng55 Everyone using the same upstream SDK from Realtek 😂I managed to get D-Link ONR Realtek SDK ![]() the boa web server indeed very old ![]() same like Skyworth ONR, also use boa... 🤣 I think Realtek is the only one making this kind of low cost GPON ONU chipset that can support 2.5G PHY so everyone using the same stuff. Actually I wonder if D-Link is the one handling the firmware, I suspect the firmware RD is done by the local OEM and D-Link is only producing the hardware. Anime4000 liked this post

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ May 4 2025, 12:32 AM) For now, 2Gbps and 1Gbps (Ultra Customer) has nice QoS scheduler which 95% bandwidth priority, this what make ultra plan pricey Great job! But I suspect only modifying the UL T-CONT is neededif fight with Ultra vs non-Ultra, the Ultra will win the bandwidth and favor, that's what TM guy told me thus, I modifying both NijikaRTL and NijikaWRT to spawn a lot of T-CONT for download and upload ![]() for Download, I will open two T-CONT per ME Point, (Type 47 x 2) [1Gb + 1Gb] for Upload, little special, I spawn 16 T-CONT from usual 4 or 8, because ALCL, HWTC and ZTEG OLT support Type 249 (Symmetrical GPON, indicate XGSPON card installed but not active yet) with a lot more T-CONT, can fight bandwidth with non-Ultra DL is controlled by DBA profile anyways |

QUOTE(endlesssia @ Jun 4 2025, 12:46 AM) hi,im new to gpon stick, just bought 2 from china taobao, nokia and huawei, and i tried both also show register status is 5/true, mean setting is good, but the OLT show other (), and vlan show empty When buying products like this,GPON SN/Password/Vendor ID/Model/Software version, all these setting i copy from my tm huawei onu. You either do your own reverse engineering or pay someone for their time and effort to reverse engineer, countless hours to test in order to get it to work perfectly BTW Huawei GPON stick for China domestic market almost 100% guarantee won't work here due to region restriction. |
