Did you claim the voucher earlier with your existing Z series phone members app?

If yes, then maybe still possible. But you may need to contact Samsung Customer Service directly as the vouchers are no longer available on the Members app.

Not sure if the 1,172 limit has been reached yet. 🤔

I noticed the banner was removed after 12am on 4th August, but based on T&C, it seems as long as the purchase is made by 3rd August, one is able to claim the free 3 years Care+ (while stock lasts) within 30 days.

Hmmmm. True yeah but I recall someone posted here earlier that it was supposed to be valid only for purchases made by 31st July.

Then suddenly after 31st July, Samsung extended the promo to 3rd August instead. From this, it may seem that not everyone could have used the voucher, either because:
- they are not aware of the promo at all (only those that follow their social media very closely would know as Samsung doesn't seem to heavily advertise this),
- they no longer have their older Z series (some may sell their existing phones first before buying the Fold or Flip 7),
- they never owned a Z series before,
- or they already bought the extended warranty

Just some wild guesses 😁😁😁

Yeah. True. Guess we just need to be mentally-prepared to purchase the Care+ separately. Sigh.

Good news. I guess Samsung (secretly) added more slots to their redemption limit? 😁

Just got the Care+ 3 Years update about an hour ago. 😇

So I guess Samsung is doing this batch by batch, but it's quite impressive that the roll-out is very fast all at one go. 👍👍

As long as you are an existing Z series user, and can get the voucher on the existing Z series phone, then you would get the 3 Years Care+ warranty.

EPP, EDU and Regular Purchase are all eligible.

But those without an existing Z series device - are out of luck.

Based on the current Samsung voucher details in Members app, it applies only for purchases made until 3rd August 2025.

So unlikely you can get the upgrade but I guess no harm trying. Maybe by a stroke of luck it will work. 😉

Actually, does the Fold 7 come standard with 2 years manufacturer warranty? Or 1 year? Not sure if Samsung clearly states this anywhere, or I've missed it.

In my previous Fold 6, it just came with the standard 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Based on the T&C from Samsung, it seems to be a full blown Care+ 3 year warranty, which includes:-
- accidental damage
- liquid damage
- extended warranty
- device support

Yes, that seems to be the case. It is not based on purchase date but based on voucher redemption date.

I redeemed on 3rd August 2025, and my Care+ Warranty shows until 3rd August 2028.

Yeah, very true. And really need to keep the Fold in pristine condition in order to sell off. Guess too many of it in the used-phone market, especially from people that used for a while, and then go back to candy bar phones. haha

That depreciation rate actually not too bad.

Take for example as a comparison, Exhibit A: the iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB. Launched about nearly 1 year ago at RRP of RM5,999. But now in the used phone market, its value is around RM4,000 only. If a seller actually wants to successfully sell it, probably need to drop the price to RM3,600-3,800 in order to sell it.

One of my friend's Fold 7 order got cancelled by Samsung without any reason, and he was refunded. No idea why. Maybe my friend stacked too many vouchers etc, but honestly does not make sense anyway.

what is the manufacturer warranty period on this? 1 or 2 years from Samsung?

512GB Fold 7 Order. He has been repeating order many times for Fold 7 with no issues until the recent order, and my friend just a regular guy, not even a phone shop or dealer.

Margin must be very high for them to be letting go at such price. Urban Republic some more, not some small tiny dealer online shop. Haha.

I miss those days I think Fold 2/3/4/5 whereby they had factory-fitted film applied to the frame of the Fold. 🫠

Quite similar and Pre Order can be better under certain circumstances. With proper voucher stacking, CC rebates, trade in bonus and also special rebates, the Pre Order can be around RM6k or less. And best part is the 3 years full Care+ warranty FOC for existing Z series users - this alone worth around RM1,5k (though it can be purchased at Samsung for RM999 now, but not sure promo until when) ☺️

Haha. I did see a few 256gb Fold 7 variant being sold online. Guess these are Unpacked Night units, as I don't think a regular buyer would consider the 256gb since the 512gb seems to provide better value. 😁
