I snapped this at the senheng store. It is the same thing at samsung store and harvey norman. They trade in rebate is higher vs online. The thing that is keeping me from purchasing online is the extra 1 year warranty provided by senheng. That is very attractive.

I would think it is more about the cost. You can see other manufacturers putting in "flagship" camera, example like Huawei.
But if samsung would to put in the S23 Ultra camera into the z fold 5, it probably make the device upwards of RM8K - RM9k.

I'm trading in my Fold 4 to change to the Fold 5. I'm just not confident that the fold 4 screen reliability for the 2nd year. But if you have 2 years warranty, then it is totally no brainer to stick to fold 4.
I'm coming from experience of using the Fold 2, it developed micro crack on the screen at the crease areas towards the end of the 1st year and my friend that is using the fold 3 have screen issue in the 2nd year.

I went to the SES to check out the official Spen slim case. It is quite nice and slim. It was better than my expectation.

Really need to go to the live chat to get the DHL tracking number so that we can know when the phone reach the SES that we choose.

Ordered quite late, 6 Aug placed order. Saw 8 Aug the status turn awaiting dispatch, and 9 Aug still awaiting dispatch.
SO today live chat and gotten a DHL tracking number. It said Shipment data received - Awaiting Parcel Handover to DHL on 9 Aug 11.59pm.

Can you get an exchange for the case?
I have ordered a sand color case and I will definitely check for it at the SES when I go to pick it up.

I played with the demo Icy blue slim spen case at the store the other day and it was very tight fitting.

Did anyone manage to exchange the Spen slim case for the fold 5? The loose Spen is a problem as it easily drops out.

I have done the same thing temporary.
BUt I'm trying to place the tape on the case side, but need more finesse to do it. lolx

then the preorder promo suites me more. great.

I like their case. I used it previously for the F2. The only downside no Spen support.

after updating, the gesture for the Taskbar cannot set to invisible denture with swipe in from below for the 3 buttons, home, back, menu. the gesture can only be set to swipe from the 2 corners and center.

Is there anyway to go back to the previous type?

The Fold5 and Flip5 that I currently own is surprisingly in a better condition vs the Fold4 that I had it last year.

The Fold4 and Fold2 that I had previously, both around the 1 year mark, the inner screen protector will start the lift up at the crease. And upon further inspection under the microscope, you can see that there is a micro crack that is starting to develop at the top and bottom side of the crease.

When I saw the microcrack, I trade in both to change to the newer Gen Fold.

But for this Fold5 and Flip5 that was bought during pre-order last year, the SP is still very much intact without any sign of lifting after checking it under the microscope. And there are no microcrack that is detected as well. But don't know about the ribbon cable under the hinge as previous members have mentioned.

But using Fold as a daily driver for the past few years, normal candy bar phones just feel so cramp.

Fold user since fold 2. It is just hard to get back to candy bar after getting a fold.
Congrats on your purchase. Indeed when I compare my fold 5 to the fold 6, the crease is less and the outer screen with the new aspect ratio looks better. Even the more squarish corners looks better to me.
Enjoy your fold when u get it and hope the cameras are able to satisfied your needs.

Agreed with you on it. Further that crease is a very significant improvement comparing it to my Fold 5. Definitely gonna grab one this year after skipping the fold 6.
