I was diagnosed with MDD, I had no mood, suicidal thoughts, tiredness, emptiness, sadness, helplessness, miserable, yadda yadda.
because of that, my work quality has been going down the hill, and even absent from work.
long story short, i got lot of warning letters, i got even more stressed, and decided to quit my job.
i been working for that company for 5 years without a problem, i know its stupid, but i can't think clearly during that moment.

I've been unemployed for 3 months, and now i think im ready back to work again.
i been on several interviews, but when they asked why i quit my last job, i just told them that im seeking new opportunities and wanting to learn something new.
but failed to land a job, i think because i cant explain why i quit my last job. especially when they actually offer less salary.

what's best to tell the interviewer why i seeking new job?
i don't think being honest can be helpful, im still on my medication seeing a psychiatrist once a month.
i don't think any employer would employ staff that for sure would taking off day once a month.

Hi Bro, i understood your condition. You can mock up the a story by saying you left the job to venture into business. But due to covid outbreak, you couldnt secure your business and decided to revert back to corporate life..

Be honest but doenst mean you have to tell future employer everything.

Just go for interviews and for sure something will land on your plate.

Be positive, trying keeping busy. Usually all these depression will come when you are alone and nothing to do, then all the negative thoughts comes in.

You can still function. Maybe less but you definitely can contribute towards your work. Don't give up hope finding the right work for yourself. Let those employers who don't understand your condition go, their loss. You don't need a horrible boss to add on more burden on you.

Keep on finding.

How's your condition now? Have you seen a psychologist...?

There are several options to answering about the work gap of 3 months. Since the period isn't long you can either be:

- Truth: tell them you're facing certain personal issues and took the time to sort it out.
- Standard reply of "taking a break". Said that you needed some time off due to the hectic workload of previous company and needed some sort of break before jumping back into the workforce.
