There aren't modchips for PS3 and it will never have one. Sony has successfully secure it. If you ever wanted a modded next generation console, go for X360.

Thanks for the link nerd but that so called Infectus is actually acts as a second nand (some sort like dual boot firmwares) and that modchip is really a failure. Of it's not, we can see right now all PS3s sold here will be installed with it. biggrin.gif

Pirating on the PS3 is possible but pointless.

Don't think a modchip is needed. Don't quote me on this though.

Anyway, all you need is/are:

- a dedicated PS3 Homebrew guru for the PS3 firmwares. (Each Firmware has to be rehacked from scratch)

- time to download 20gb+ per game through torrent. (SlySoft Inc. managed to cracked the Advanced Access Content System (AACS) and Digital Rights Management (DRM), FYI. Google it.)

- a Blu-Ray disc burner (go check yourself how much one costs  laugh.gif )

- Blu-Ray-R discs

- alot of luck to not brick your PS3 using Homebrews

So it's definitely possible but sorry to burst some people's bubbles, it's really pointless.

That what I was trying to say. Thanks muchi. wub.gif
