 corsair ram warning!, 667 is actually 533

Just a little warning to those who purchase corsair rams. I just bought 2 pieces of corsair DDR 2 1 gig rams. After using cpuid and siw programmes to analyze the rams i got to know that one of the in a 533!!! i took thing a step further by keying in the ram type code on the ram modules itself in google...yes..they are 533's. Just view my pictures that i have attached. key in the ram code 64m8cedg see the result. Take care...Attached Image Attached Image

wait a minute, are really sure that you are actually bought a DDR2 533 instead of DDR2 667 or, is it which i'm suspecting that, it's your fault...

saw the 1st pic... it's DDR2 667, i think mislabel, you can always changela...

erm..can always change the ram anyway...but later, must be careful to buy the ram from the shops....

maybe it's not the shop fault?
cause if not mistaken,the label cant change mah,the label must have the scar after peeling one mah....
anyway,if dannot change,then oc to 667 lo....

as in my case, the receipt state i bought a KVR DDR2 533. but when check with everest, the memory actually 667... sweat.gif

We could also oc from 667 to 800 wert.

probably its mislabeled in the factory (it happens a couple of time with corsair, read it somewhere).. RMA it then

I think it is the problem from the supply side. Maybe mislabelling.
