Flight redemptions using the AirAsia Unlimited Pass are only valid for the base fare and do not include optional add-ons, airport charges, taxes and regulatory fees, or other charges, if any, which shall be payable by the passenger at the time of booking

Subject to availability. Just like Genting free room, expect only week day and one way only.
Another thing to expect , it might add only 1 ticket for a time until it consumed.

Don't forget, TF is real con man like a politician.

Each promo code under the AirAsia Unlimited Pass can be redeemed for round trip flights, subject to seat availability. For example, in the event a passenger purchases a return ticket, if the seat is not available on the return flight, the discounted fare generated via the promo code will only apply to one way of the journey. Passengers would need to pay the full fare as displayed on the website for the return journey. For the avoidance of doubt, passengers may also redeem the AirAsia Unlimited Pass for one way flights.

Might as well just say return not applicable. Way to trick passenger into thinking it will covers return flight when booking ticket. This will only make passengers stuck in airport thinking they can fly.

It will show actual fare when u r searching for flight before ever booking ... how to be stuck at airport la....

If return both way can get free fare, then both way is free la... you never redeem AirAsia free flight promo before ka ?

Yes.. basically this is buying yourself a bigger chance to access AirAsia's zero fare sale for a 1 year period.. before this everyone can grab for free.. now you pay rm499 to grab for yourself...

While stocks last.

I won't surprise.

I guess their tactics are:
- sell as much as possible as no limit of unlimited pass will be sold mentioned
- limited slot for certain flight (refer to T&C: subject to availability, but never mention how much it how many available for every flight)

Imagine 20k of unlimited pass sold, but 10% of the buyers want to book the same period. You will be disappointed.

Basically it's like the free seat.. you still need to search for the date that you can use the code. Even return flight, the return date maybe 20 days after your arrival. So it's for those that can be flexible with the date.

I tell u, this is scammer project.

U see, it is only for base fair, but then those base fair usually snapped up fast... so in the end, u wont be eligible for anything... no one dare to buy recent months flight, so all will scramble to buy October till march 2021... wats ur odds of getting those? And u need to buy now, coz once u get this pass, surely u will go buy first.

Good luck, but I wont buy this with so much uncertainty on the COVID19. RM499 for my health or even life? Forget it...

Well we can be tricked.

Maybe the flight is available 1 day in a month, so we are forced to buy a normal ticket to return. Die lor.

Don't know if I have the balls to buy this pass or not.

I bought the pass....

My comment is... Don't buy.
Cause they only release very limited seats for you to redeem.
Many flights still selling seats but promotional rate not available...
Also most return flight that I checked do not have promotional rate...

I feel cheated.
I hope we can do something to fine this company.

I didn't check flight to Sapporo CTS.

But ticket to Tokyo HND and NRT is at promotional rate of rm71.
Return ticket does not have promotions so it's around RM600.
All in all about RM 720.

My Summary (could be wrong):
  • 31 flight in total include malaysia (if minus flight less than 4 hours then only 28 available)
  • flight path in map, see here https://www.flightconnections.com/route-map-airasia-x-d7 and https://www.flightconnections.com/route-map...ai-airasia-x-xj
  • since this promo attract more customer, there is possiblity of ppl just book and dont bother resulting in overbook and lots of empty seats
  • high chance return flight is not available
  • still have to pay for other airport charges, so it might end up paying more without promo
  • we still dont have proper cure for the virus, proper drug trial approval could be next year...good luck if your visit country is locked down
  • good luck on >6 hours flight without add-on food on flight

If AA still doing free seat promo like last week, then those promo are more worth it. RM115 return tickets to Bali consisting full of tax. RM110 return tickets to Fukuoka consisting full of tax also. If "miss flight" due to no show can claim back money.

But if AA no longer doing that after this unlimited deal, then this may be good idea. Provided coronavirus issue dont last too long

Woah. mean you already bought the flight ticket after paying RM499 to grab the cheap seats?

I havent decided yet when I will fly so my plan is that I will just pay the RM499 for this unlimited pass first. Then last min if I want to fly back then I only choose the date. Too late right?

Woah. mean you already bought the flight ticket after paying RM499 to grab the cheap seats?

I havent decided yet when I will fly so my plan is that I will just pay the RM499 for this unlimited pass first. Then last min if I want to fly back then I only choose the date. Too late right?
*
yea, purchase straight. now purchased another return trip for CNY 2021, also same KIX-> MY-> KIX for the same price laugh.gif

not sure whether it's too late or not, imagine AA released whole year free seat now means if everyone snap it up, no more free seat flight

I want to understand more how this unlimited flight works

so u cannot choose the seats first?, then only apply for the promo?

So, u must pay the RM499 first, then only go and find the flights available? But then not all routes are available to you for this RM499 promo?

The one not available is shown as full booking?

Just FYI a week earlier AirAsia had a sale, and flights to Japan were the same prices as what you get with or without buying the pass... so I'm pretty sure the pass just allows you to access just another of AAX's free seat sale with dates from today until next year March...

Last week can book without buying pass for rm499. Means your Japan trip would have costed RM200.

This week pay RM499 only can buy. First trip already cost you rm699. Have to buy a lot to make it more worth that others who already bought their free seats before this for July 2020-March 2021, when the sale launched to the public.

Lol I also plan to go to Japan with my partner.

If ayam not mistaken, you buy the pass, then you need to generate a coupon baru can search. Without the coupon cannot search (correct Ka?). So basically cannot help others to check flight too. What scares me more let's say if 2 persons bought the passes, and they cannot find the same flight, die standing.

Yup.. your right..

Buy pass individually... cannot buy for others.. then generate code.. search using that code..

gamble if want travel together and get same free seats.. if first one got through and paid the tax etc etc.. and then suddenly second one seat finished.. you have to pay more inclusive of swearing all the way till complete..

imho.. if travel together just wait for sales and book like normal and know exactly how much to pay..

I think AirAsia slipped up on this one.. a week ago they launched free flights without needing a pass on the same routes... Same prices.. same availability... and then a week later, they sold the same free flights but now we need to pay RM499 to get those flights...

Usually the right marketing move is to launch the exclusives to those who paid first, rather than give the free ones to everyone and then leave the scraps to the ones who paid up rm499 for it... Lol

No.embargo periods are also applicable to the pass which means some flights during public holidays, school breaks, and weekends can’t be obtained via the unlimited pass.

Also most return flight that I checked do not have promotional rate...

  • still have to pay for other airport charges, so it might end up paying more without promo[b]
  • we still dont have proper cure for the virus, proper drug trial approval could be next year...good luck if your visit country is locked down
  • [b]good luck on >6 hours flight without add-on food on flight

Does this t&c below mean that when we purchase a confirmed round trip, our return trip is not guaranteed in case seat unavailable, charges forfeited and we need to pay full fare for replacement.

5.Each promo code under the AirAsia Unlimited Pass can be redeemed for round trip flights, subject to seat availability. For example, in the event a passenger purchases a return ticket, if the seat is not available on the return flight, the discounted fare generated via the promo code will only apply to one way of the journey. Passengers would need to pay the full fare as displayed on the website for the return journey. For the avoidance of doubt, passengers may also redeem the AirAsia Unlimited Pass for one way flights.

surely will refund your optional item and taxes. just that the code valid for 1 way only guaranteed. return way is not.

that's why it is better to buy pergi and balik separately. in normal case, the tic is more expensive la but in this case is negligible since the ticket is "free" anyway

surely will refund your optional item and taxes. just that the code valid for 1 way only guaranteed. return way is not.

that's why it is better to buy pergi and balik separately. in normal case, the tic is more expensive la but in this case is negligible since the ticket is "free" anyway

I bought kix -> kul -> kix, only cost about 6k+ yen in total laugh.gif can find such price although most dates aren’t really great but I don’t really mind. However there’s zero free seats allocation for the whole month of December, not sure why
*
Added price for your reference. The point is that the free seats the Pass gives you is the same free seats that AA offer the public on a regular basis... but before give free but limited seats to all, now give free but limited seats only to those who pay rm499...

Marketing genius but fail because use the word unlimited.. even in telco simply use unlimited also can get sued and reported to authorities...

once you bought your tickets, of course they are guaranteed..................

Yes, must buy the pass first to know which seats on which flights are available... (or else ask someone who has a pass)

I'm gonna copy paste this in case they change the T&C at a later date

AirAsia Unlimited Pass
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is available for BIG Members within Malaysia who are at least 12 years of age on the date of departure and the passenger must be the BIG Member who made the booking. Each AirAsia Unlimited Pass is assigned to one (1) passenger only with one (1) BIG Member account. For the avoidance of doubt, the AirAsia Unlimited Pass is not available for children aged below 12 on the date of departure.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is not available to be purchased by travel agencies or any parties other than individual BIG Members. In the event any travel agency or party other than an individual BIG Member purchased the AirAsia Unlimited Pass and subsequently made flight bookings using the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, AirAsia shall have the right to cancel/forfeit such AirAsia Unlimited Pass and the flight bookings, without any liability on the part of AirAsia to such agency, third party or any passenger.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass cannot be sold, bartered, assigned or transferred to another person. Any attempt to transfer the AirAsia Unlimited Pass or book travel using the AirAsia Unlimited Pass for someone other than the holder of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass will result in immediate forfeiture of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is only available to be purchased by BIG Members on www.airasia.com and AirAsia mobile application.
Upon purchasing the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, the passenger shall have the right to book and fly on AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X flights to Australia, India, China, Korea and Japan for an unlimited number of times, subject to full and final payment of any applicable airport charges, taxes and regulatory fees, or other charges.
No BIG Points will be given for the purchase of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass. Use of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass will not earn any BIG Points, and flights flown using the AirAsia Unlimited Pass will not count towards any offers or bonuses. Redemption of BIG Points is also not allowed for the purchase of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
When purchasing the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, passengers must ensure their details in the BIG Member account (i.e. name and date of birth) are as per passport or identity card. These details will be used for booking during the redemption process.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is non-refundable.
Validity
AirAsia Unlimited Pass Purchase Period: 29/02/2020 – 07/03/2020
Travel Period: Travel before 02/03/2021
The purchase dates and travel dates of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass are based on Malaysia local time (GMT+8).
The Purchase Period and Travel Period of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass shall not be extended. Redemption of flight for departure earlier than the applicable Travel Period or later than the applicable Travel Period is not allowed.
For the avoidance of doubt, no refund will be given for any unutilised AirAsia Unlimited Pass purchased.
Redeeming the AirAsia Unlimited Pass
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass cannot be redeemed offline at airport ticket counters, call centres or through travel agents.
Passengers must log in to the BIG Member account to redeem the AirAsia Unlimited Pass on www.airasia.com/deals or AirAsia mobile application.
Prior to redemption of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, the passenger shall ensure his details in the BIG Member account are correct. No name change is allowed once the first booking has been made.
A promo code will be provided for each booking under the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
Redemptions are only valid for the base fare and do not include ancillaries, add-ons, airport charges, taxes and regulatory fees, or other charges, if any, which shall be payable by the passenger at the time of booking.
Redemptions are only valid for Point-to-Point routes and exclude FLY-THRU routes.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is redeemable only on AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X flights bearing Carrier Code D7 and XJ, respectively, EXCEPT for the AirAsia X routes below (in both directions):
Kuala Lumpur – Denpasar (Bali)
Kuala Lumpur – Singapore
Kuala Lumpur - Jeddah
Booking of flights under the AirAsia Unlimited Pass must be made at least fourteen (14) days before the flight departure date.
Flight redemption is limited and subject to seat availability. A seat may not be available on every flight or day, e.g. due to high demand at times such as weekends, public holidays, school holidays, etc. The AirAsia Unlimited Pass does not guarantee availability on any particular flight. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice or liability to the holder of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
Passengers are allowed to book up to two (2) flights for travel on the same day. No multiple bookings for travel on the same day from the same origin are allowed. Any such bookings are subject to immediate cancellation.
Passengers are allowed up to three (3) no-shows. In the event a passenger exceeds the number of no-shows permitted, AirAsia shall have the right to cancel/forfeit their AirAsia Unlimited Pass, without any liability on the part of AirAsia.
AirAsia shall not be responsible or liable for any damages incurred or suffered by the passenger including but not limited to the following circumstances:
The passenger’s purchase, redemption and/or use of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass;
The passenger’s inability to redeem the AirAsia Unlimited Pass due to inaccurate passenger details;
The passenger’s inability to use the AirAsia Unlimited Pass due to lost or misplaced password; or
Unauthorized use of the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
Passengers are responsible for obtaining and must possess and have available for presentation as required by the relevant authorities all entry and/or exit, health and other documents required by law, regulations, order, demands or requirements of the countries flown from, into or over.
Confirmation of redemption/booking
Flight booking is confirmed after full payment for the flight is made.
Once the AirAsia Unlimited Pass has been successfully redeemed and booking is confirmed, no changes are allowed to be made to any flight booked using the AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
In the event a passenger’s scheduled flight is cancelled, terminated, diverted, postponed, rescheduled or delayed before the passenger has reached his final destination as a result of a flight cancellation, AirAsia-caused missed connection, flight delay, or omission of a scheduled stop due to circumstances beyond AirAsia’s control or for reasons of safety or commercial reasons, AirAsia shall at its discretion, either:
carry you at the earliest opportunity on another AirAsia flight on which space is available at no charge; or
refund check-in baggage, meals or seat selections purchased and airport charges/taxes paid.
In the event of no show, AirAsia will refund airport charges/taxes paid only.
*Voluntary Refund for flights departing from/arriving in/transferring through the Republic of Korea:
In the event a passenger requests for a refund of his flight within 91 days prior to the date of departure, a refund will be provided in the form of promo codes with no cash involvement. Passenger may proceed to make a new booking in accordance with these Terms and Conditions using the new promo code.
General terms
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass cannot be combined with any other offers or exchanged for cash or any other products in kind.
AirAsia has the right to reject any claims that do not conform to these Terms and Conditions.
In the event AirAsia detects unusual, irregular, suspicious, unauthorized, fraudulent activity on the purchase or redemption of any AirAsia Unlimited Pass, AirAsi]a shall have the right to cancel/forfeit such AirAsia Unlimited Pass purchased and subsequently cancel any flight booking made using such AirAsia Unlimited Pass without any liability on the part of AirAsia to any passenger.
These Terms and Conditions will prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials regarding the AirAsia Unlimited Pass. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms in these Terms and Conditions and the AirAsia’s Terms & Conditions of Carriage (https://www.airasia.com/my/en/about-us/terms-and-conditions.page), these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
AirAsia reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, or substitute or replace the AirAsia Unlimited Pass with another product or program of equivalent value from time to time without any prior notice.
By purchasing and utilizing the AirAsia Unlimited Pass, the passenger agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as well as AirAsia’s Conditions of Carriage as may be amended from time to time.
The passenger agrees to hold harmless, defend and fully indemnify AirAsia from and against all losses (including loss of opportunity and consequential loss arising therewith), damages, expenses and all third party actions, proceedings, claims, demands, costs (including without prejudice to the generality of this provision, the legal cost of each other, personal injuries, death, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation), awards and damages that may arise as a result of the use purchase of this AirAsia Unlimited Pass.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by laws of Malaysia and all disputes relating to the AirAsia Unlimited Pass are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kuala Lumpur.

PSA: This is not listed in their T&C - If any of your flights booked using the unlimited pass is being cancelled by AA, DO NOT opt for credit account if you still plan to travel on the same route. Find a new date and reschedule the flight instead.
If you go for credit account refund, the refunded credits cannot be used for new flights booked using the unlimited pass. The credit is only applicable for normal flight booking.

If you try to book another flight using the unlimited pass and pay using credit account, you'll get the following error when placing your booking:
