IMO, I wont get phenom in this October, it would be freaking expensive. So the ram price (probably DDR3) would be.
The manufacturers launch their new products near year end (in 4Q) by intention.
As such they could sell them at a higher price as demand is high and people are in shopping spree generally.
Drag it up to next year 2Q. It would worth the wait for the $$$ buying power. HAHA

if u going to upgrade ur rig this october..i think intel is ur aim coz phenom juz release n their price will cause a bomb for now intel Q6600 juz cost RM950

Here some info about the Barcelona procs. As i know Barcelona is make for server segment while Phenom is make for desktop. Maybe this few picture can help us guess how it will perform compare to intel procs.
