 PC Shuts down immediately when plugged in USB HDD

If PC shutdown after plugged some USB drive, somewhere is short circuited especially the 5V + and -,
most likely the USB drive, usb cable, or the usb port short circuit.

This is one of the protection feature iirc.

most likely the USB positive and negative wire short circuited.
this is one of the protection from PSU to prevent short circuited wire overheat and cause fire.

Still prefer Enermax and Seasonic, both PSU never failed on me.

No point skimping budget on PSU because it's the most important part of your PC, and they last very long, you dont upgrade PSU every few years like your CPU/GPU.
cheap psu cause more problem ,lower efficiency, will indirectly affect other parts and even killed it. and lastly a timed bomb lol
