mm...i also wana test my laptop with benchmark programs and post the result soon. ahhh,the only gripe with inspiron is graphics department, and maybe sound....why do laptops have the speakers that sounds like mobile phones speakers? no bass at all.....

dont bet on laptop speakers, most of them are junk, even the so called altec lansing or harmon kardon thingys.. it's just asking too much to squeeze high quality speakers into lappies.

I'm having SEC3258 on my 1720 and I'm very statisfy with it as it has no grainy or leak in compare to SEC3358 from what i read.

Anyone ever had any problem detecting an external hdd on their 1520? I've encountered this twice so far. Once with friend's hdd and another with my own which I've recently bought.

Also, has a solution to the hissing sound for the earphone been found?

You don't have any hissing noise? I'm talking about when using earphones. That's odd. It used to be a common problem. Been sometime since I've been in this thread.

Once again, I'd like to know what HDD and case you're using. My HDD was able to be detected (as it was formatted) at the shop I bought it from. Hence, I know for a fact that it doesn't have any problems.
