Just an information, the dedicated graphic card for notebook not necessary is a piece of external card. As for myself, i have a dell inspiron 1420, with Nvidia 8400GS GC, however, the dell technician open up my laptop before and i saw that the GC are soldered on the motherboard. So i think it is not possible to change the GC later on i think. But as for the M1730 SLi and the 1520, i not very sure but i think it might happen to be the same situation, which is soldered on board.

1730 SLI graphic card is upgradable whist 1520 is not if I am correct.

Try not to waste getting a 8800GTS for 1k.Suggest buying a Dell M1730 which can score about 8000 on 3dmark 2006.As you know , when Nvidia comes out SLI 8800M you can upgrade it.
