when update this driver , issit will format my thing or anything change ?
this driver got what different with old 1 ?
updating chipset driver will NOT format your laptop, so dont worry. just pick the right driver from the list. updated chipset drivers improves commnunication between PCIx and CPU, USB performance and overall system stability.
you dont need to check. most likely your chipset driver is very old. just download the file (2MB) and run the setup. the driver will automatically update only required outdated files. simple as cake.

great. btw, good score for T5550, again proves the point that CPU is not a major determining factor in 3DMark06 benchmark. what driver are u using?
*i will start a new section in first page soon after i collect enough results, so to make this work, i really need your input guys.*
1)Well for my scores, the resolution is set at 1280x800,
2)all defaults settings,
3)driver version i think it is the latest from DELL website,
Driver date : 22/2/2008 Version 7.15.11.74314) No overclocking done. still looking for tips on how to oc .
5) Mobile chipset is not updated. Will try to update first and see whether any differences.

i did post some OC tips back earlier in this thread. you can try to look for it using search with the keyword rivatuner or 600MHz. 174.31 is the latest from Dell. i myself am using 175.75. resolution setting will be shown in 3DMark6 screen capture, the only thing not shown is the OC part, so those who submits their score has to mention whether they OC or not.
