First of all, I would like to thank radioactive and Mgsrulz for answering my PMs. But I need further clarification on this. So, here goes...
Okay, lets say I have two PSPs and I want to play LAN game. But one is a room and another one is another room where the two can't really do ad-hocs. Is this kind of configuration possible? Please bear in mind that there is no internet connection. The two wireless APs are not giving out IP address. They are merely intermediaries. Only the router in the wall is giving out the IP address.

1pc, 1wifi adapter might work since both connected on the same network

You tried it before? How about if one wireless AP and both connected thru that wireless AP (lets assume they are not in ad-hoc range and no internet connection)? Is it still possible to play multiplayer? By the way, the scenario above with walls are just like when you living in hostels. You got friends on other floors but want to play PSP multiplayer.

Eeekk... mind telling me whats xlink kai? And how do I reprogram that? Do I need a 3rd party software or anything? Thanks. I'm planning to get 2 PSP with this kind of configurations. If this configuration is possible, I just might buy them. And the only shop in my head is DjINn's.

By the way, the scenario above with walls are just like when you living in hostels. You got friends on other floors but want to play PSP multiplayer. You have WRT54G? AFAIK official firmware can only run on AP mode so maybe you try flash to DD-WRT custom firmware and set it to adhoc mode. The other wifi router then run as a repeater for that adhoc signal. I haven't tried that but it should be ok with that setup except that i cant confirm repeater mode can work for adhoc. Try borrow this router from a friend if you don't have it. edit: PSP scans for ad-hoc signal and skip AP signal. So the above diagram will not work This post has been edited by strace: Oct 8 2007, 11:51 AM

hurmm... xlink kai needs an internet connection.
i think with your diagram.. i dont think it can adhoc. huhu.. based on theory how adhoc and infrastructure works. remember adhoc is not a LAN.. it's like a PAN (personal area network).

In Cisco router, it can configure the router into L2 tunnel to bridge 2 network become one.
