If reception issue is it hardware side.. Meaning phone problem

or simcard /telCo issue or what?
*
Maybe local 4g 3g issue

The transmitter tower at your area got issues, or interference etc

Can try another area

If still same in another area where another maxis user (especially if same phone model) reports that his phone is doing completely normal, then unfortunately it's your phone interaction with the tower, likely your own phone issue

Anyone experience random heavy drop frame on note 10+?
*
Using Adobe rush to render 4k videos

Then frame rate drop when using other apps

I was playing game, then pull down to disable wifi, tat bar come down and up frame by frame and the reopen the game also frame by frame
*
I guess when the game is hogging the resources, other applications including system will also drop fps

Unless maybe if you completely swap to the other app

Is this considered normal battery life? It's on maybe 90% wi-fi, and i think it is very good! Normally on data i'd get around 5+ hrs to 6+ hrs
*
Mine is similar

WiFi makes a whole lot difference

Because in normal non gaming usage, the sd vs exynos is negligible for sot with WiFi on. Both exynos and sd have the same WiFi module

4g antenna is superior on the sd version that's why the battery life on 4g standby is 3x the exynos version

Well my monthly captured videos and photos come up to 50-100gb a month, mostly from the 4k videos

The wide angle to normal angle is really great for unboxing stuff

The 3 cameras are great for kids videos

My only gripe right now is the 4gb limit on videos. Hopefully Android 11 solves this issue

Also I've read the forums on tempered glass, but I'm wondering if anyone can share their experience more recent experience they have with any tempered glass?

I'm planning to buy from AliExpress or Shopee, but dont know if it'll be good for fingerprint for example
*
I tried buying cheap tempered glass.

The quality of the edges not quite perfect, it appears wavy

Using tmax right now. Fingerprint feels the same imho

How long did you used the cheap one and how long have you used the TMax?
*
I didn't even bother with the cheap one

I don't think i can fix it nicely if the edges are wavy

I broke one tmax tempered glass after using it for 2 weeks

Currently using my second one now, has been more than 7 months

Did diy and i think fixing it without the guide applicator is actually better

Also used power sunlight instead of those little uv lamps for instant curing

Edit:
Just broke another and fixed a new one today. I think my case is very close to the tempered glass, so any low level fall would indent the edges the case close enough to break it.

There is less than 0.5mm on any side

Also, use a high power flashlight to see any dust so you can stick it up with the sticker

Still, can't live without tempered glass because i think the environment I'm in is too sandy or something.

Oof, that's tough. I want to apply on my own, using my own loca glue, that's what I did for my previous Note 8. It lasts better than shops.

But I am worried the fingerprint wont work because I dont know why some UV tempered glass work with the fingerprint, some dont. I wonder if it's because of the tempered glass itself, or the glue.
*
Most people said you have to register the fingerprint after applying a new tempered glass

But in my own experience, the glass has not affected my fingerprint sensor

Guys just today i noticed my screen has a dead pixel

The top right edge appears lifted up

Sent to service center, they said it's because of the loca glue ingress used in tempered glass, then it damage the lcd screen as well

To replace the screen is rm1000 for note 10 plus

Lucky thing under the extended warranty (marsh), so can use that to change the screen

They also changed the battery

Somebody posted this issue before

So because of this i can't recommend the loca tempered glass anymore

Sorry guys

Side note: they also mentioned the tempered glass has this smell. The smell is acetone, fruity smell. Used in finger polish. The screen actually looked like it was dissolved from within instead of ingress to me

maybe the lcd comes with the frame, means they only transplant your board to new frame/lcd

Now thinking back there were some new notifications that never seen before when accepting the phone mentioning about completing something - i was busy with getting on with work so i just swiped them off without much thinking. and the glass back is also a different - there were some specific scratch marks in the previous phone seemingly lost

And the weight suddenly feels lighter, the same feeling i get when i got it new. Maybe the old one soaked with glue.

And they somehow perfectly applied the oleophobic plastic screen protector on both front and even the back.

The spen is the same tho

Issue is if they really cloned the data from one phone to the other, i really hope they deleted the previous phone data.

yes. they changed the whole front frame. that's why its expensive.

QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Jun 23 2020, 07:22 PM)
they wont clone your phone, cos they will maintain your imei, imo editing imei is illegal, even for service centres
*
Yeah i think that makes most sense tho

Great workmanship

Edit:
This is contrast to a previous Samsung phone sent to the service center next to federal highway - motherboard problem, took 2 months, then new scratches on the display

the data is in the motherboard. they just bring the old motherboard and some parts to the new front frame and that's it. they might change the back frame if during the opening they might crack the old glass. the battery is glued on the front frame as well. so relatively you got a new phone. only the motherboard and spen is old.  laugh.gif

They also changed the battery, they said they will claim the claimable marsh warranty

But the cool part is, the capacity between the new and old seems the same. Which is a good thing

Back then with older phones after close to a year can feel the battery lose 25% of its capacity

older phones less battery capacity ie.. 2000 Mah. thus u charge twice a day, hence battery degrades faster, and previous android os cant kill those pesky apps running in the background

Glad you had the warranty to cover the cost. Also, now dont have to worry they won't change the battery already hahaha.

Now don't dare to use TP already omg, now using raw. Have to look for a plastic one after changing mine in August.
Edit: which sc did you go to ?
*
Sunway pyramid, the one being recommended by many people

I'm not sure what's the circumstances to change the battery tho

Tg is one thing, but certain liquids likely to be unsafe as well like acetone and high concentration of isopropyl alcohol

last week i went to the pyramid sc to change my lcd.. they also changed my battery without hesitation when i asked for it.. probably it's part of the package? anyway, it took about 2 hours to complete everything.. just like new
*
They changed for me without asking, they said part of the claim. Previous guy who changed it few months ago also got iinm.
