knowledge gained.. feels like i'm quite outdated with tech products, i'm ruining my phone..
1st day charge until 100% then keep charging for 1 hour, then DIY fit some plastic screen protector & ruined the original screen protector  doh.gif
anyway, will stick to 20% to 80% from now on

what type of car charger you guys use? was intended to buy the 45w but bought the 15w eventually due to the price..  laugh.gif
*
hmm i use roidmi. those normal charger.
i poorfag my car no bluetooth so use roidmi as bluetooth fm modulator.
it comes with 2 usb port so use it.

anyway i dont really charge in car as usually fast charging top up is enough

sometimes like at home maybe i charge 80.
if i need go out sure 100% kasi hahaha
aiya pay so much just use it haha.

Yea I agree. For me preventing heat and avoid using while charging is good enough imo.
Motherboard?? Did they say what happened to it ?
*
Use normal charging less heat
Try not to use when charging.
But I notice if I use while charging (slow charging) with WiFi
Temp don't go up much. With 4g slightly higher temp

Nope they just say motherboard and battery. Problem is I don't even know how they deduce it 😂.
I've been using 11 mths no issue.
Let me use for a day or two and see if it really helps.

I move back to my old settings.
Tweak apps and cpu to 70%
Self controlled brightness
Let's see how the battery life is.

Maybe I got lemon unit all long 😂

They did open my phone. My front screen protector was peeled off
Got mine replace again direct after fix before restoring my apps

QUOTE(ridox_orimabu @ Sep 21 2020, 08:49 PM)
I dunno yet. I have plenty in my list. Haha

But most prob an iphone.

Its hard to find buyer now. All want cheap. I think i saw in some ads 2.5k for 512gb aura glow. How to beat that? Lol
*
2.5k 512gb not bad.
Hated the new note20ultra for making 128 gb as based storage.
Mate30 pro brand new u it is 1999 how to beat 😂😂
The battery life probably 1.5 times of note.

Normally i did not use, play phone while charging,
And always use samsung own charger, 15w, 25w,
Never use car charger, worry voltage unstable on car

And brightness rarely use auto
*
i will text when charging if needed.
usually i do tbh

oh ill use back samsung charger after this.
usually i use baseus one not sure that spoil my motherboard/battery as im practicing good charging habit (20 to 80%)
i usually keep samsung in bag while baseus one on my work desk which i will use to charge daily
car charger i rarely use. use less than 10times.

im ok with auto brightness (they call it adaptive brightness since they have ai that will change the brightness as according to ur setting. what i mean is that maybe at ur office setting u need 40% . so when u on adaptive and u move to 40% . everytime that particular brightness it will be at 40%.)
what annoys me is at outdoor. it will crank up to maximum which is good for viewing but sometimes i dont need it.
so i use manual brightness more

been using samsung health + Health Sync for months. Just noticed that Samsung finally disable the ability to write 'steps' from other apps.

I'm pairing my samsung health with Amazfit watch. Now it doesn't record step anymore, but for others like sleep, heart rate, and weight still can be sync with other apps.

Not related to note10 but since I start using samsung health when started to venture into samsung, might as well rant here. haha  notworthy.gif
*
removed samsung health. said to be draining power

Normal charging heat is even lower than wireless charging. Any payment from them for replacing mother board and battery ?

New battery maybe batter sot haha ? I didn't notice any difference on mine after replace lol
*
in terms of heat
Wireless charging (normal since i dont have fast wireless charging)>fast charging>normal charging

wireless charger really produce alot of heat.

no payment all foc.
but imei numbers remain the same ( they say samsung will make it the same so warranty details remain)
usually imei number is attached to motherboard

for battery life.
let me use for a week or so to say.
first day sure say better (couz i know is new ) laugh.gif laugh.gif

Finally Samsung is giving us a SD phone. Finally they know what we want

https://www.soyacincau.com/2020/09/23/samsu...spec-pre-order/
*
not bad for the price.
the screen however is a big bummer.
chipset is great.

if ppl who are not really into higher refresh rate (which i doubt) or dont mind eshitnox why not note10+
at its price now.

QUOTE(fireballs @ Sep 23 2020, 11:43 PM)
M51 7000mah 730g also snapdragon
Hope samsung can sell all their exynos to huawei so we can have snapdragon
*
eshitnox will be here for good.
tho we dont like eshitnox but at least it provides competition to qualmcomn.

865+ price is very very expensive. if they continue to monopoly they will just continue to drive up the price causing us to pay more and more.
competition is always healthy tho lately eshitnox is not doing much.
hopefully with Rdna2 they will hit qualcomn.

Right, tried them both and one at a time. cannot tell the difference. By the way, anyone tried the trick: turn off the battery optimized for apps: com.samsung.android.biometric ??

on a second note, updated mine to UI2.5 (Snapdragon USC), then was interested with the star wars firmware, so flashed that even with UI2.1. New to UI2.1 anyway so will wait until the 2.5 roll out for the Star Wars firmware.

I turn off optimize after less that a month for my note10 lite
Did not notice any different, some site say improve finger print unlock
*
Thought they referring to optical sensor?
I know ping uses lite.
Not sure about numerical though.

But if ultrasonic. I feel quite responsive already. Better than I first got it

Hey guys. Just wanna get some opinions from you guys.

will it be useful for my battery longevity if i were to charge the note 10plus with a 15w charger as compared to the 25w charger?

or it wont make any difference since the battery was design to last long with a 25w charger in mind. note10plus can even support 45w.
*
use back ur 25w charger.
go to settings>device care>battery>charging> disable fast charging
then u will charge dam slow

anyway on paper, heat will damage battery over time. the less the heat the longer the life

the faster the charging the hotter the battery gets
so u understand where im going from here right.

if i understand correctly, faster charging = higher temperature = poor long term battery performance.

which means that if i were to use the 25w charger BUT if it doesnt produce much heat then it should not impact my battery long term performance much.

will check the heat with the 25w charger. havent use it yet since i am using the 15w charger from my note 9. if it feels too hot than maybe i will use the 15w because when i use the 15w doesnt feel hot at all. i dont mind the slow charge as long as its within a reasonable range and can ensure longevity of the battery.

Thanks for the info.
*
if u lazy switch charger just follow the option i suggested.
even using 25w i think the system charge less than 10w since take 2hrs+ to full charge

QUOTE(zoixc @ Sep 27 2020, 10:06 PM)
Normal charging is not that slow la hahaha. Around 2 and half can full is still pretty fast la
*
hahaha bro.
nowadays china made ones complete charging in less than 40mins.
150mins is a long time.

QUOTE(huislaw @ Sep 27 2020, 11:24 PM)
If fast charge, faster finish then faster cool down.
If slow charge then get hot for longer time. 🤔
Fast charge maybe hotter but for shorter time.
In the end I don't care anymore and just enjoy the phone.
*
from my experience, when i use slow charge i dont feel the heat at all.
with fast charge its abit warm but just slightly

QUOTE(fireballs @ Sep 28 2020, 12:21 AM)
normally properly designed battery will last through the quick charge.
after all during the use of phone, the battery heats up anyway.

however in samsung,

my note10lite design battery life is 4500, and after 2 months of use now become 4100.
in 1 year will loss 40%, maybe 1.5 year loss 50% just enough to last through the warranty period.

yeah, no point protecting the battery. its doomed anyway
*
hi bro, how u detect ur battery life?
accubattery??

i just change my battery.
capacity is at 4100 only (note10+)

how is ur SOT/usage?
drop significantly?

anyway try use samsung member check the battery.
if its bad go sc.
screw them and ask them for a replacement.

thats how i get mine changed and during process they found motherboard problem .
got that replace as well

Sot about 6 hours.
Ya chatted with samsung support and will have to check into service center. Reluctant to go sc as will need to do full backup and clear data before sending. Unvirgined also means any water proofing is gone. Maybe will go in around warranty ending time.

Note10+ is 4300 become 4100 not so bad la
*
SC should be able to do water proofing back.
mine end of year 1 warrnaty i get it replaced.
one more year warranty. before the end i will check again,

when samsung member show my battery problem its at 3600mah (accubattery)
4100 is the recent one after i got a new replacement,
quite weird but better SOT

i still running test to confirm

they will indicate Life: Bad.
ask u to check in service centre.

i believe if its below the iec standard then they will ask u to go for the replacement

Maybe not yet below there health standard
*
think accu battery say my battery 3600mah left which is almost 20% off original.

3 years still good then ok

maybe mine is lemon unit

i think im the first one who get bad battery indicator among ppl in this thread.
i know some forumer change battery but not due to this.
maybe due to parts replacement than change at one go.
or ppl buying SD sets and get their battery replace .

I tried using the 25w charger its not hot but warmer than when i use 15w where it doesnt feel warm at all.
Im actually lazy to switch to the 25w charger because im still using my note9 as my secondary. unless note9 can support the 25w charger than i can use the same charger. or i can use the same setting for my note9 and it wont effect my note9 battery eventhough im using 25w charger? thatll be cool.

i guess i should get the samsung member app also as a reference. thanks for sharing.
*
i dont have note9 charger specs to give any advice,
if it runs at 9v and 1.7A (15w) then using note 10 charger with note 9 will result in 15w
if it runs at 5v 3A then i not sure how fast the note9 will charge.
probably lower speed than 15w note9 charger

samsung member app is preinstalled.
