“This is Jurgen Klopp's best FA Cup run with Liverpool.
So Lampard has already surpassed him in one competition in his first year. #CFC #CHELIV #FACup“ - Nizaar Kinsella |

Early scans on Kovacic’s Achilles are positive. Believed to be only a minor injury. #cfc

What a performance maaannnnn. Like everyone else was stuck watching that stupid german cup match and couldn't catch the first goal live. Damn astro and their scheduling hiccups man I tell you!
It seems we continue with our jekyll and hyde form, one minute we're getting whooped by bayern, then we draw with bournemouth, and proceed to put in a solid 90 minutes vs liverpool. I'll be honest, I didn't expect us to win, much less get a clean sheet. Yet here we are. All I know is the only clear cut chances they had were that one time origi was unmarked during a corner (for the 900th time this season Our CB pairing was changed up yet again with zouma and rudi in the middle, but we looked fairly solid, all things considered. Reddit is hyping up gilmour like crazy, and he showed a maturity way beyond his years. Such a little dynamo, reminded me of verratti at times. With jorginho suspended, I look forward to watching more of him. Barkley's goal ended being the best of the lot, who knew he had it in him! Great performance by him as well Everton next, hopefully this win is the fuel we need to push on for a CL spot. |

Coronavirus: Premier League ditches pre-match fair-play handshakes
The Premier League has announced that the pre-match handshakes between both teams and officials will not take place until further notice because of fears over the spread of coronavirus. The measure comes the day after the government asked the league "to step up its contingency planning". The teams will still line up as usual but the home team will walk past the away side without shaking hands. There have been more than 90,000 cases of the virus in 87 countries. A statement on the Premier League's website said: "The Premier League fair-play handshake will not take place between players and match officials from this weekend until further notice based on medical advice. Coronavirus is spread via droplets from the nose and mouth and can be transmitted on to the hands and passed on via a handshake." Premier League leaders Liverpool announced on Thursday that they would not be having mascots at Anfield. They have also cancelled staff travelling to any high-risk countries and "reminded everyone of good hygiene practices". The club also said there will be "hand sanitisers and/or antibacterial handwash in all the washrooms at Anfield" as well as hygiene information posters. Last week Newcastle manager Steve Bruce said the club had stopped their morning handshake ritual while West Ham boss David Moyes said the players would be fist bumping instead of shaking hands. Southampton also banned players from signing autographs or taking selfies with fans. League One club Sunderland have also told their players to not go abroad during their upcoming break. Sos: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51760339 It feels like situation is getting worse by the days |

“Chelsea star Abraham rejects latest contract offer and wants same parity in terms of salary with other top players before committing his future to the Blues“
Sos: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/111...-contract-snub/ Wonder if he’ll live up to expectations should he get his way though. Demanding for more salary should go hand-in-hand to each player’s performance on the field |

The Sun | #Chelsea are looking into buying a club in Scotland to get round a new Fifa rule. Top Blues brains have been considering how to bring through their up-and-coming starlets.
Fifa want to clamp down on big teams stockpiling young talent and sending them out on loan in numbers for years on end. The new rules will come in next season to restrict this traffic — and will get tougher in the future, which could hit Chelsea hard. Chelsea could therefore send a whole team of teenagers — coached by their own staff — and play them at a senior level, either in the Scottish Premiership or Championship. Rather than ‘loan’ the players, they could let them join their partner club permanently, with a sell-on agreement or a first option on them if they become top class. |
