Overall, good start with a touch of luck in getting the 3 points.

- Below average debut from Kai.
- James start poorly, improve significantly after half time.
- Pretty good combo from christensen-zouma.
- Kepa mix performance.
- Alonso improving intl the second.
- Kante as usual. On his way to his best imo.
- jorginho not so good. Look fatigue in the second half.
- good debut from Timo.
- mount good work rate but average overall.
- RLC poor.
- Barkley improve our attack.

Lampard too tinkering with his selection of players. You got pure winger in CHO instead he using Mount. He can put Havertz in the middle, but he opt for RCL. I dont why it hard for him to use CHO when ziyech pulisic not in the squad. This kind of tinkering will surely will bite him later.

If pulisic ziyech not available, for sure, mount will play as winger instead of CHO.

Best position for Kai is in the middle. You can see his chemistry with werner already in term of passing. We can see the real kai when ziyech pulisic slotting for winger and he play in the middle.

No longer can defend Kepa. Hopefully Mendy will ready next week.

Apart from penalty, jorginho just average. We need to cash in on him. I think RCL more suitable to play alongside Kante instead of Jorginho

Hard fought 3 points, and third in the table

From this match, can clearly see the chemistry between players isn’t there yet. And Alonso needs to give way for Chilwell, and either Zouma/Christensen will pair with Silva. James seemed good in the RB position, but definitely has room for improvement

Hopefully Jorginho isn’t injured badly, but then again we have Kovacic available for next match. So i’ll opt for Kante-Kovacic-Havertz in the midfield for our next match with Liverpool

Kai seem to need quite some time to gel in with the team, and with the PL in general. The physique and pace is just not the same as in Bundesliga, but damn Werner is fast. And his workrate is exceptional for me

Maybe we could use Loftus Cheek as a sub, but as a starting XI I’d be worried

barkley is quite underrated...he is very talented..but he lacks footballer brain..sometimes he make very stupid decisions

Ugly win but understandable since we dont have preseason. Massive games against liv since they already got 2 competitive games plus good preseason.

2 DM give more balance than 2 no 8. Hopefully Kante Kova combo vs Liv, Kai as CAM. Pulisic and Ziyech hopefully fit.

Actually as pundit already said hes quite good when the team play much more simpler. That is why he is flourishing so well when on international caps.

But looking at rlc current form my god definitely barkley is > rlc anytime

Better not play havertz against liverpool, still unproven

But we haven't see Havertz in center midfield yet. I hope Lampard starts him at RW is for Liverpool not to study how Havertz play in CAM lol

Havertz best position is CAM. If ziyech fit, for sure he will fill RW position. One think i dont like about lampard, he too tinkering and sometimes put players at the wrong position.
