As suspected by Anandtech ealier that the Exynos version 5G will be compromised in terms of features. So, just take this S20 launch in Malaysia as 4G phones. No future proofing. Imported Snapdragon version is the way to go this time.

Lol.. U know I know. The poorer network reception on the Exynos Note 10+ is the last straw for me. Wouldn't touch any Samsungs with a pole unless it's an SD model.

Once the price drop to a justifiable level , you maybe tempted to buy and sing a different tune , irregardless of Exynos or Easynos.

By the time the iPhones are available, the S20+ may drop to about a third equivalent of the iPhone12pro price and iPhone 12pro still at 64gb storage.

You know what, the more I spend my time in this thread, the more I'm curious with the SD version of Samsung devices  Is it that good? Damn, wanna give it a try.

Its never "overkill" to have the latest tech at your hands, but it would really be "OVERKILL" when you pay TOP DOLLAR for a phone which isn't even ready for 5G. 

5G is still at its development stages. So can't blame Samsung either. But since 5G is not needed/available yet, might as well we just use back our phones and wait for 5G to be working and then only decide which phone to buy. Since it doesn't make much of a difference as newer phones without 5G would be just the usual "better processor, better camera, a bit larger screen and better screen", and in the S20's case you even have smaller storage of 128gb of the current 256GB storage expected on current flagship phones.   

I'm on the Oneplus 7 Pro and its one of the first to adopt 90hz screen. The 90hz screen is indeed is smoother and slicker, more fluid but its not a deal breaker. If you would ask me if the 90hz refresh rate is necessary, I would tell you No. If the app you are using wasn't purpose built for the 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate, the phone detects it and lowers the refresh rate to the standard 60 hz. So.... I would say the 120hz refresh rate would be nice to have, but not really a good reason to buy the phone for.

I've sold my s10+ and got a rog phone 2. It's super big and heavy, no idea if I'll get used to it or not. Been using it for less than a day.

I can totally imagine s20 ultra users complaining already about the weight and size of they jumped from the s10 series.

Whats the issue with the 128GB version if you can add on a micro sd card that is U3 Class 10 UHS-I A2? Speed should be sufficient right?

DirectD was a good source of grey units but they stopped getting supply ever since online sellers are selling them at a cheaper price. I only buy from DirectD on special sale like 11.11 etc.. or their clearance sale.

Yup and we can thank the Chinese brands for that. They provided literally the essentials for customers ages ago. Free casing and screen protector, then Samsung followed suit first with a brand new A series to strike back their mid range segment, their mid range segment was one of the worst, look at it now, not bad already.

Then now you can start to see Samsung branching out and giving decently priced flagship phones and that's the s10 lite.  I don't think anyone would imagine Samsung giving us flagship specs for around Rm2k.
