Been getting around 5 hours to 5 and a half hours of SOT with 120hz on. For me good enough to get through a working day. My usage usually whatsapp, browse Web and watching videos. Rarely game on phone.
Brightness set manually depending on my preference biggrin.gif
Now gonna test out with 60hz 1440p. Let's see if it will last longer or not.

Tested the new camera update and it definitely improves the AF speed by a great deal biggrin.gif for me at least quite satisfied already.
Battery life after two weeks with the phone, I feel its good enough for me. Consistently getting around 5 to 6 hours of SOT with 120hz. Initially was around 4 hours only but I think once I started obsessing less over the SOT/new phone feel with constant tinkering it became less of an issue sweat.gif

Rotate the pics tongue.gif
Is this with the main lens? I guess if you want more to be in focus can use the zoom lens for close ups.

Anyone tried screen mirroring with smart view feature to your smart TV? The audio is shuttering so much that its unwatchable... i turned on high performance mode and its better but not smooth... googled around and found its common issue? Anybody had a success?

My mid-range snapdragon oppo doesn't have such issue hence I can confirmed its not my smart TV issue ...
*
I do it with my TV. No such issues sweat.gif but mine is samsung TV so not sure if that means it has better compatibility.

no prob for that, just slow doh.gif

Try pressing harder and not just a light tap/resting your finger on the sensor.
Initially was quite hit and miss for me until I realised it unlocks and detects better when I press on the sensor like its a physical button

Anyone managed to get whitedome tempered glass? Checked lazada and shoppee like no seller bringing in..

Been watching a lot of sp fitting for s20s... conclusion is.. whitedome works best among tempered glass, ultrasonic works.. if too pricey then go for those film ones.  So far spigen and ringke are recommended and works flawlessly with finger print. However depending on case used, it will 50-50 lift up the corners of the film..
*
To be honest, don't you find the preapplied sp good already? I'm quite impressed with it now especially the oleophobic coating on it.

Different people different preference. nod.gif Not easy to source for the stock plastic sp though and its not cheap especially those sold at Samsung stores.
*
Which is why I'll probably go bare without sp once the stock one condition gets too bad tongue.gif can't be bothered with the hassle of looking for the best tempered glass sp sweat.gif

Yes, the preapplied sp is good enough but unfortunately when I swapped my s20 ultra to s20 plus, the phone came with pre installed tempered glass where finger print can't work...
*
Ah that's a bummer sweat.gif by the way did you do a straight swap for the s20 plus? Or the other person topped up? Just curious was thinking about it too actually, phone a bit heavy. Can get used to it lah but the s20 plus feels like it's much more hand friendly

Was wondering that too. Just googled it and seems like it's something new people are doing. There's a guide to do it on xdadev/reddit. Gonna try it out later tonight biggrin.gif

Open source app on XDA to set your refresh rate to 96hz. No need to mess with Tasker and ADB shell
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/sszb.s20.refresh
You can check your fps here

https://www.testufo.com
I use this mainly when I reach 50% battery.
*
Nice app biggrin.gif now no need to tinker with adb and tasker. People are amazing. Now to monitor the battery life on 96hz and see if it makes a big difference

How to download? I can't login. Keep invalid password even though register again, reset, is useless.  rclxub.gif
Something wrong with the site.

Open the link and login again. I just use my Google account to login though.

Reverted back to rm3399 already when I checked this morming. Surprisingly not all of the 5 units were taken yesterday. hmm.gif
Signs of bad economy to come?
*
With this covid situation I doubt many people dare to spend unnecessarily sweat.gif especially on tech stuff like phone etc. Most people buying phones at this price range are probably doing it through installments.
Unless you're in an essential service, job is probably on the line now during mco sweat.gif

Sharing my recent battery life here biggrin.gif
Noticed improved battery life last 2 weeks without anything
Tried the 96hz thing but seems like it affects the fp sensor. Sometimes fp sensor is slow to activate when use 96hz

Just launched.

*
This one depends on our local pricing lo. Remember last year op7 Pro disaster local launch. 3699 when s10 also same price.
If the oneplus 8 Pro launch at 4k and above, most people would probably still opt for Samsung due to brand perception sweat.gif
It is good for those who wanna get sd865 flagship with all the bells and whistles though. Camera performance also on par with S20 this year.
One more thing is the warranty support on oneplus phones, not sure if they've improved or not. So far Samsung being the bigger company has pretty good service centres around the country.

Also bear in mind the S20 Ultra is 400 pounds more expensive than the OnePlus 8 Pro in the UK. The choice couldn't be more obvious.
*
In the UK the price difference definitely big but here? Not so sure tongue.gif our local distributor can be quite greedy.

Ok as much as I was impressed with the pre applied screen protector. Nothing beats a naked screen. Finally took out the sp as it got scratched pretty badly last few days not sure from where sweat.gif
Will be using the phone bare as too lazy to go through hunting for best SP. Thought about the whitestone dome but decided against it biggrin.gif
