QUOTE(Duckies @ Apr 14 2020, 04:14 PM) On the heating issue, I think is normal for Exynos. On my S10+, the back will heat up noticeably (especially using the phone without a case) whenever the Samsung custom cores are used such as when using the camera app, else the phone is at room temperature. This is the behavior of the Exynos SoC that I don't like. On the focusing issue, I think Samsung can only do as much as it can on software side of things and don't expect it to perform focusing as fast as past Samsung camera sensor with super speed dual pixel autofocus technology. The 108 MP sensor only has the more conventional PDAF. This is where I would say that high megapixels count does not necessarily mean it is a good thing. To achieve such a high megapixels, the individial pixels size are so small that it does not have the dual pixel autofocus technology. High megapixels camera sensors with similar dual pixels autofocus are just starting to pop-up earlier this year with Sony sensors at 48 MP and 64 MP. Examples of phones with this sensors are the Oppo Find X2 Pro, OnePlus 8 Pro, and Huawei P40 series. This post has been edited by ipohps3: Apr 15 2020, 01:28 AM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Apr 16 2020, 03:35 PM) The SD proc units sold here are usually from HK and China. US and a few other select countries also have SD proc including South Korean themselves. The Aztech My that sells Snapdragon S20 series on Lazada and Shopee got the units from the US (G98XU) and South Korea (G98XN) for single sim version. For dual-sim version, it gets them from the HK/China (G98X0) version but more expensive. This post has been edited by ipohps3: Apr 16 2020, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Apr 16 2020, 05:45 PM) Nice. But still Iphone pawns all. It is indeed impressive. If set at 60 Hz, it will sure beat iPhone which is also on 60 Hz.The S20 Ultra beat the Oneplus 8 Pro and P40 Pro because of its 5000 mah vs 4500mah vs 4200 mah obviously. Let me share this on the other threads. This post has been edited by ipohps3: Apr 16 2020, 05:51 PM |

By disabling the optimize battery on the biometric process, it does improve the unlocking speed. nice.

QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Apr 24 2020, 03:13 AM) Yea but those usually compare side by side, I believe s20+ SD should be same battery life with the s20 ultra exynos, just the bigger screen, camera and warranty are the deciding part. For me, it is an easy choice. I would pick the S20+ over Ultra anytime purely due to the size and weight of the phone. 🙂 |

QUOTE(catsper @ Apr 30 2020, 07:58 PM) Huawei uses different suppliers (LG and BOE) for it OLED panels which are different in quality. It's display quality is not on par with other flagships and a turn down the moment you look at the screen. There are rumours saying the screen on the next iPhone will be supplied by BOE. even Samsung is approaching BOE. so that it is. |

Looks like only Note20+ will have 120 Hz @ QHD with variable refresh rate. Also, it will be using new technology called LTPO which will save battery. hahaha. Again, we are looking at S20 series being the experimental device with battery-hogging 120 Hz. This post has been edited by ipohps3: May 13 2020, 02:13 AM |
