Good luck to you nszer. Hope you'll get it.

Thanks and good luck to u too...
But what i can said to u is.. dont worry to much...just give them sometime to process the job application..
As i know, their HR staffs are quite efficient on recruiting staffs..

The HR called me within 6 hours after i having lunch, a movie session at One U after the Interview.
They asked me about my current basic salary, any other allowance, yearly bonus, company benefits and ohter for
drafting my application proposal. Of coz, this point still doen't mean that i already get the offer..
Just feel impressed on the speed they process my application.

Anyway, few things want to clarify with current silverlaker..
1) how many annual leave per year?
2) how is the OT claim? if i work in weekend or Public holiday?as previous post, Rm15 per hour for after 8pm, and Rm 40
after 9pm..so how about the OT in between 6pm to 8pm?
3) For new join silverlakers.. is that need to be bond for a year ? Any penalty for if quit or terminate during the bonding
periods?
4) may i know anyone of u go to work from sri petaling? how is the traffic condition from LDP to One U? Anyone of u go to
work by public transport such like train or bus?
5) I have 2 months terminate notice in current company, is that any issue cause i'm not qualified?

Hi there,

1. Basically you start with 15days per year. But for first year, it depends on which month you join. Let say if you join in February, you only entitled 14days of annual leave.
2. There's no OT claim but you can only claim for meal. And if working during weekend or public holiday, you can claim for meal and return mileage from your house to project site. If you go before 8pm, no meal claim.
3. There's no bond unless you go for RPG training. If you got bond, you need to pay one month salary to quit before bonding period.
4. LDP condition from Sri Petaling sucks especially when approach Sunway and WD bridge area. Near Tropicana area as well.
5. I believe that wouldn't be an issue.

Anyway good luck to you. I just tender my resignation to further study abroad. biggrin.gif
Maybe I'll rejoin Silverlake in the future if the offer is good.
*
Thanks mosfet83.. few question to u again..
1. can i know more about the meal allowance?
2. what is the paid for fresh graduate now?
3. anyone take bus from Kelana Jaya LRT station to One U ?

Hi,

1. They give meal allowance if you work overtime. For normal working days, if you work until 8pm, you can claim RM15. If until 9pm than can claim RM40. During public holidays or weekend, if you work minimum 5 hours that you entitled for RM60 meal claim.
2. For fresh grad, I'm not quite sure how much they pay. But for last year, my friends got paid ranging from RM2.2K - 2.4K. And they all based at project site so got extra RM280 project site allowance.
3. I'm not sure about this, not a Kelana Jaya residence. Maybe someone else can answer?
*
Hi mosfet83,Thanks on your reply..
I'm not Kelana Jaya residence too...
currently stay at Sri Petaling..
Is quite far from my house to there..
somemore the terrible traffic jam will
make me crazzy...

For the Rm 280 project based allowance... if let say i based at client side 2 weeks ...
so how much can i get ?
besides this, i heard that there have Rm 150 allowance for those work in HQ (One U) every month..

Most of Silverlakers stay in Kelana Jaya, PJ or Subang. I'm from Bangi lol  tongue.gif .
Luckily I'm based oversea project so don't have to go to office.
For project based allowance, you need to be at least 10 days at project site.
More than 10 days, RM280 for you, if less then no claim.
RM150 allowance in HQ is for parking only, assuming you even get a spot.
My teammate only got his after 1 year  rclxub.gif
Not sure whether you can claim or not if you don't have parking.
They requested parking receipt if not mistaken.

Maybe will take lrt and stop at Kelana Jaya and  then take bus to one u. Still considering. Or else i need to wake up very early, and go out earlier lo. No choice.
*
i consider to take bus to there too...
but from my place, i think i need to take Star -> putra -> bus..
when you going to start work in silverlake?

Hmmm... When interviewed last time, the interviewer said they'll be having some projects in China~ somemore like they want to send ppl there. But i think it depends on which department we joined. So i still dont know whether i should move to PJ. But i think im still new, they wont send me kua? wuwuwu~~
*
so good...

what the interviewer told me is..
i do have opportunity to work in oversea..
but still need to based on the project that I involve..
and my performance..
so.. just c my luck la..

@nszer
well you could get to silverlake office using public transport also what.. not all banks are near to LRT/monorail services. The problem with KL is not going to kl but GOING BACK FROM KL.

I personally use only 25 minutes to reach KL from subang but it takes me a MINIMUM of 1 hour to get back home from KL. If you dont pay toll even worst, be prepared to get home in no less than 2 hours assuming you dont use the smart tunnel and get home by the federal highway.
*
so far i never drive to work at KL , so i dont know how is the situation at KL...
but i used to drive to PJ after work every friday...
cant imagine there have other traffic jam place worse than PJ Sunway toll there.

For tea u can use ur own mug or use the provided cup. Many design too choose. Lol

Yea limited internet + pentium 4 pc. Good enough for as400 and rpg.

Travel depends on luck and team. Some team have many project overseas and some only local. But if u dont wanna go, pls inform them earlier so they can headcount or put u in other team etc. However, most fresh grad would like to go oversea due to the per diem.

The advantage of staying in office is your are going to have a development environment and experience. You get to learn more cos ur bosses are around. On client site u'll be doing implementation and support most of the time like a bank staff. Another advantage for guys are you guys get to look at those leng luis from IBM and KPMG during lunch time where you could never find one in Silverlake tongue.gif
*
my interviewer told me that my team need to be travel but still need to depends to your performance...
so..just try my best to learn as much as i can..

by the way, i see many fresh and young leng lui at silverlake when i waiting lift ya...
they are wearing silverlake name tag too...

haha... majority of female in my current company are elder than me...
and i'm just a youngest boy in my current team...
other of them are married jie jie...
haha..

Another question,
As i know, there have position like Programmer, A.Programmer, SA... and others in Silverlake..
So, how based on what criteria to define the promotion from Programmer to AP, AP to SA and others?
Instead of based on Performance, i believe that also depends to the basic salary and how many working years right?
