I am working in silverlake now, not all the seniors or leaders are good, depend on ur luck, if u under a good leader, then good la, else.... ai.... suffer

silverlakes - (back office) - RPG and all those language use by AS400...
axis, provide the front office system (windows based) - .net,java

salary? - sucks if your in kl..
growth? - u will be a programmer the rest of your life
bonus? - none for many years
increment? - depends on your boss, if he is lousy then u get lousy increment as your pay i based on your project budget..

me? ex silverlakers

Then how come u resign from Silverlake...since u told that it is a good company......???

For my opinion, when having chance to go overseas when work in Silverlake; u have to think twice n make up yr mind before u go over...Anyway, u still have chance to tell that you not willing to go if family come in the 1st place.
But no matter which country u go, i still feel that it is better to work in HQ/KL. And it is good only for short term...if u feel enough, anytime u can request to go back KL..

Coz for new n fresh guys..it is a very good chance for them to learn...n have chance also to go overseas project which i think they do not have it when join other company...coz Silverlake is a very good 'training' ground !!

Hi, me also working in Silverlake as well. And i 100% support what u said here!!
Cause some senior really care bout themselve n need yr support, so that he or she can claim higher..then u have to work like shit!!!

Correct. NO Bonus but they say the increament is Good. For average person get 15%(Is't OK??).

you can get higher paid than .net if you know AS400.

When I was at DW Team, yes, you stay at client site for one month and come back for 4 days. Reason is - you're entering the country (client site) with tourist pass, maximum stay is 4 weeks to 6 weeks...

BE CAREFUL TRY ASK THEM WHAT IS THE VISA THEY GIVE YOU WHEN OVERSEA.
IF IS WORKING PERMIT IS GOOD ...  
IF NOT YOU MAY BE A ILLEGAL WORKER THERE.   

WORK OVERSEA = TO WORK LONG HOURS ALSO
