Yea. Like u said. Lousy ones.
. What I expect from the better ones are those who knows wats going on. Coordinate everything and get what we need on time. Most of them just asking us to finish on time while the tools and documents from clients that are supposed to be followed up by them are missing. In the end, technical ppl need to approach clients rather than waiting for PMO's so we could get our work done and communication are easier.

Understood what u've gone thru, Vinci. Allow me to chip in my 1 cent ? In fact, a good PMO should be able to help the team, but not burden it. The effectiveness of PMO depends on tech and communication level of the person who man the shop. Preferable is one who able to explain the tech stuffs to non-tech manner or vice versa. Good PMO should also knows how, where and what to assist instead of just talk, get updates and doing postman job. People with this caliber does exist, but hard to locate. hahaha..
Otherwise, i don't think the tech people is comfortable on the present of PMO in the team - to them, is a burden instead.
