Asus Lyra Mesh Wifi, Any first hand unbiased review?

Any Asus Lyra user here? Trying to get review from first hand user without bias and monetary influence. Most of the blog reviewer sounds more like advertisement to me.
For the Trio Pack, do I still need the Unifi Wifi Router or it shall be directly connect to the Unifi Modem? |
