One of my favourite shoes has a hole now due to wear and tear. When I bought the shoes, it fitted fine but somehow my feet got bigger and the front part of my shoes feels tighter and eventually gave way. You can refer to the pic below. The cobbler told me that he would need to stich a piece of leather inside to the shoe and try to stitch it back but it may cause the shoe to be tighter in which it would be uncomfortable for me. Is there an alternativ way to preserve this shoe or should I just let it go? Bought the shoes from Pedro. Attached thumbnail(s)

from my experience of wearing non fitting shoes for just 1 week, it is definitely not worth it.

Used to fix them but now I just buy new ones. You should move on, it would hurt your feet and feel uncomfortable. You can't get new ones if you don't get rid of old ones. Alternatively you can fix and use it as a spare.

Can repair by gluing. But for more permanent fix is via stitching. Gluing method shows how cheaply made these shoes are.
Somehow your feet got bigger..... I wonder if you know that your feet expands throughout the day the more you stand and walk. You can gain half inch all round at the end of the day. And it goes back to normal size as you relax.
Thats why when buying shoes, buy after work or sometime after mid day because the foot would have expanded.
