Won't be win win if the adapter just is given free for Europe customers only and the rest of us have to buy it, hahaha... Actually the USB C is also pretty easy to connect but yeah, I'm fine if they stick to Lightning too.
Not as easy to connect as lightning for sure without aligning.
You can do it faster by not aligning first but it can cause scratches easily over time.

Well, its going to be a "revolutionary lightning to usb type c dongle, first in the world (for Apple)". A breakthrough in technology that will evolve mankind in providing unrivalled convenience. All for a small price of rm299.

Hahaha, just wait... once Apple implement these radical ideas, Android will follow suit

It's not a bloody breakthrough. I already have the cable that has an adapter that switches from USB Type C to Lightning. Just a simple adapter. But when Apple "creates" one, it would costs you an arm and a leg for it after claiming it was a breakthrough. LMAO.
Ok bro.. Lets wait and see. Question is would you pay RM6k or more for an Iphone this round bro?
I will definitely buy it bro. As of today iPhone 6S continues to get updated with iOS14. As for androids and Samsung Note 5 in particular which was released in the same year as iPhone 6S, for sure we dunno end up in which landfill already.

Even at the cost of paying extra rm499 for a 25w charger?
Lol...I just read some Macrumours news. Apparently Apple would be including a 20w charger in the box with the Iphone 12.

yes, it is just a connector, similar to micro-usb, usb type c. the underlying usb standard is more important. a lot of existing apple devices are using usb 2.0. that's also the reason why backing up to PC takes longer time.
actually i love lightning port than usb type c. just i hope that the underlying usb standard should be up to 3.0 or 3.1.
i am not sure if latest iphone 11 pro/pro max or 11 support usb 3.0 yet. but i am sure my iphone X one is only usb 2.0 still.

IMO usb 3.1 needs to be up in the next iPhone. USB c connector should be better too as it is more standardized. As for the backup time it doesn't really bother me much. I have most of my files in the cloud already.

I dont find any issues with apple having their own proprietary lightning cable. Im using both android and iphone as my daily drivers.

not a big issue to me whether they change to usb-c or not. importantly must have 3.0 and above.
actually good thing if it is not usb-c, a lot of existing power adaptors can be reused. a lot of power adaptors still have USB-A as the port. if usb-c, need to buy new adaptors.
Hehehe... You know I know Apple is always like that. Sure make you buy the larger storage model at at few hundreds RM extra. My junk more than 160GB already. So sure have to buy 256gb or 512gb.
walaoeh 160GB of what la I was using about 80GB, clear off some stuff and now bcom 45GB ad so can bajet for 64GB phone d

I have nothing that you had in mind in my phone storage.... Anyway there is no point keeping "those videos" in the phone where you can easily stream it online now.
Nah... the Iphone is my storage place for all family photos and stuff. So lots and lots of pictures and videos in there. Guess that is why Apple keep pushing larger capacity phones out right now.

Can you please stop being a troll here? This is not kopitiam, want to troll go there and post all you want.
1) Since when 25w is gonna be rm499? 10/12w original ipad charger is rm79.
2) RM6k for iphone? This year's iphone already plenty of rumor going to be cheaper than iphone 11... either $549 or $599. If charger and earpods not included, that makes it plausible for the price to starts from $549. This is not android ok, where each year high ends kept on having price increase.

Chill, guys. A forum is where we express our thoughts and opinions, no need to get all testy. Particularly for something that isn’t confirmed yet
I watch the MKBHD video too and I get the part about e-waste too, and like him, I generally don’t use the new cable and brick from my new phones as I tend to use my old existing ones - till they eventually give up the ghost, that is. But seriously, leaving out the charging brick and cable would be a very bold move. The backlash would be unthinkable, hahaha.
It is likely they could leave out the earphones though, lots of phone companies are already doing this.
