Um do you at least try to log-in to your brother's account using the pre-installed unifi TV app on unifi Plus Box?

No you can't do that. Channel Mosaic (100) isn't unavailable on unifi Plus Box as it's an Android TV app, equivalent to unifi playTV app on mobile.

At least for unifi playTV mobile app, it has picture-in-picture (PIP) for up to 4 channels simultaneously.

The current UPB Hybrid v2 has stamped the new Unifi TV logo, a new remote, and now up to 32GB of storage.

Just make sure when using the Google Home app, you’re connecting to the same home wifi on your phone as your Unifi TV Box.

Maybe it’s just me, but it’s not working when Unifi TV Box is Ethernet-connected.

If for me, quite a hassle.

First need to download any File Manager app from Play Store to UPB, then need to link any Cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) with my MP3/MP4 files already uploaded there. Finally it will be synced & listed to the File Manager.

Bear in mind the UPB doesn’t have media player, so need to download it as well (like VLC) from Play Store.

So no more needing special codes to enable developing options in Settings after this update? Great then, I’ll update it later.

Mi Box S or Mi Stick supports Unifi TV app, you can consider that. I recommend those devices.

Mine’s using Chromecast with Google TV 4K dongle, and if you want more in-house & sports content, can install & subscribe the sooka app developed by Astro as well.

Because my subscription is only for Unifi TV without a Unifi Home bundle, I’m ineligible to add a Unifi TV Box to my IPTV‑only account.

However, I did reach out to a TM agent via the Maya portal live chat, and they mentioned they’ll call me back with the add-on offer within 3–5 business days.

Now costs RM10/mth for 24 months or RM240 one-off.
