yes, I manage to get the astro go to run. by the way, is it possible for the apps to appear in the 'normal' list in the Apps button from the home menu? Not deep inside settings-apps-special apps etc. I noticed all the apk being sideload using adb are hidden under settings - apps. not easily visible to access from the home screen

Use this app:
CODE
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/felker-tech/tv-app-repo-android-tv/tv-app-repo-android-tv-1-1-4-playstore-release/tv-app-repo-android-tv-1-1-4-playstore-android-apk-download/

It can create a homescreen shortcut for non native ATV apps.

an easier way is to just clear the app data and cache.

Install astro go using adb.. but it won't show in apps drawer.. just go to play store and install tv apps drawer.. u can see your apps there.. Same as hbo go and Netflix.. but netflix you have to install version 6.26.1 build 1531696.. but it doesn't support 4k.. You'll need mouse or air mouse for this apps cause unifi remote don't support these apps..

You can create a shortcut direct on the homescreen like other native ATV apps by using this:
CODE
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/felker-tech/tv-app-repo-android-tv/tv-app-repo-android-tv-1-1-4-playstore-release/tv-app-repo-android-tv-1-1-4-playstore-android-apk-download/

For HBO GO, there is a native ATV app that can be used. This is the only working ATV version for HBO GO Malaysia so far. You can also find this on the playstore if you use hong kong server via vpn or dns.

Hi..

Anyone have experience picture on any channels got freeze for 2-3s but not the sound.. then ok again... it then happen again after a while
*
Yes happened a few times but im not using unifi plus box.
I guess I can rule out 'using a modded unifi tv apk' as the reason for that freeze

Wanna check if any owners of unifi plus box have tried this modded netflix apk, and managed to get 1080p?

Apparently it works on a few boxes with Widevine L1.

I read that now tm no longer allow existing subscribers to get the unifi plus box by just topping up RM10 per month for 2 years... can anyone confirm this?

Anyone here managed to get the Plus Box as existing customer? I spoke to Customer support but they give me no option except to downgrade to 300Mbps and sign a 24 months contract which I'm very hesitant just for a TV box. But having a 2nd box for other part of the house is a good thing for me to maximize my current Ultimate Pack.

Anyone ada jalan just for me to buy the box outright?
*
If you want to maximize your ultimate pack, why not get the Mi Box S? Unifi TV app now works without having to use the mod version. On top of that you can use the proper Netflix app to get full hd and 4k resolution... unlike the unifi plus box (UPB) where you have to use a modded, old Netflix mobile APK to get full hd resolution. Not forgetting that you can't sideload apps without using adb method.

As for me, I was considering getting the UPB due to the now defunct "RM10 installment plan" for existing users laugh.gif Won't consider it at all if sold at full price (RM240)

Can we just get an equivalent Android TV box and side load the UniFi apk into it?
*
For certified boxes like Mi Box S and Nvidia Shield, you can just download the Unifi TV directly from the playstore.. the 'Unifi Plus Box only' restriction is no longer there since version 1.2.2

Just received this sms from TM

CODE
RM0 unifi: Enhance your home entertainment with the unifi Plus Box (Powered by Android TV) for only RM20/month now i.unifi.my/smsUPB

Previously it was RM10 x 24 months for existing subscribers, subsequently that offer was no longer available and the only option was to resubscribe to UPB specific packages.

Wow... making the total cost of the box RM480 excluding tax sweat.gif
And it's not even Netflix certified, moreover they make it hard for users to sideload apps (adb method)
Good job TM
