This rule damn stupid. Drivers must be trained to see red as stop no matter what.. you can’t expect mabuk drivers to exercise discretion
No such things as discretionary turn right on red.
Lorry got t-boned by bus

QUOTE(Stigonboard @ Jan 18 2020, 09:22 AM) That is NEW regulation and only added in the last two years Just added two years ago? Wrong again. Again, red means stop. Your own link already proved you wrong. Previously you can turn right on RED I grow up in SG by the way You grew up in Sin and yet you don't know the traffic rules? Not surprising if you don't have a licence or you don't drive. If you have other proof of "red can turn right", or the so-called change 2 years ago, please share. Else, we'll just stop here. QUOTE(zeroty @ Jan 18 2020, 09:42 AM) Wrong. Exactly. U can never turn right on red. Never was. Discretionary right turn is when U can turn right on green w/o arrow, but have to watch out for ongoing vehicle. |

There is always a clear sign that says "turn left on red" or something like that. Meaning you cannot suka suka do descretionary left turn if there is no sign that says so, therefore it's less confusing. Macam U turn - one can only do U turn when you see the U turn sign. |
