Ohh liddat eh

So brand warranty > where you buy it?

And where you buy it, best to go for cheapest?

Got it2

Desktop entering 5th year, itching to change lol

thats depend if you are willing to do extra mile or not, alot of people are okay only dealing with the seller regardless how long it will take, belakang tak ambil tahu unless distributor reject those RMA (e.g tempered sticker, water damage, physical damage, blown capacitors, etc etc)

Yup, that’s what I thought too(usually buy things from
Them) but according to their price list, more expensive than lazada(price list show rm400, lazada rm245 including sniping)
I did brought many things from viewnet recently( laptop, PSU, ram for laptop, SSD), maybe I should tell them that?
*
No use. You nego for discount when you buy many items one shot.

ssd if you havent have one (doesnt matter if it is sata or nvme ssd)
if upgrade from sata ssd to nvme ssd, without much storage increase, then not really worth it.

When I wanna buy an item from lowyat, I'll go to every store that sell those item and get the cheapest price. Even when I buy few items also I do that. Not difficult to do since majority of shops that seel the items are on the same floor.

Depending on the type of item you are getting. If its something that does not require after-sale services, then it's a good idea to get from your friend. After all, you will not feel good to keep pestering your friend, and also your friend will not feel comfortable to be pestered all the time too.

Disclaimation: I'm not an employee from ViewNet so don't misunderstand.

Tips and factor to consider when doing a survey:

1. Never ever compare retail prices with online prices (Lazada/Shopee). As retailer price is always expensive for various reasons (higher rental, and employee salary, and after-sale services, etc.).

2. When you buy an item, the price difference is important, but it should not be the only factor to be considered as factors such as trusted dealer/seller, after-sale services, method of delivery (risk of product handled by courier services, etc.) and so on.

3. Be cautious of item price that is suspiciously attractive. Always investigate the reason behind the attractive price tags.

4. And finally, RESEARCH, RESEARCH, and RESEARCH before buying an item. With all the con cases happened, the buyer is also part of the fault (possible due to greed, lack of knowledge, etc.).

5. And lastly, a salesman that goes the extra mile to serve the customer should also be rewarded (not necessary by tipping, a simple gesture of acknowledging and appreciation of effort is also sufficient). Remember, a salesman is also a human who at the end looking to have their stomach filled. Accept the fact that they are with the objective of getting a profit from you.

I don't understand the logic.

If Shop B is selling cheaper than Shop A.

Why die-die must force Shop A to sell at Shop B price so that you can buy from Shop A?

If your boss say who & who willing to work the job you are holding for much less, your boss ask you to accept a lower pay just because he feel more comfortable working with you but you must accept lower pay, how would you feel?

willing buyer, willing seller.
also some PC component you could get discount if you paid cash, just need to ask for it.

in my experience, viewnet is one of the cheaper vendor that still have physical shop
*
yup can definitely get discount if you ask politely enough. This is just for pc components though. Other items are pretty much nett price.

If online, need to wait, shop don’t need.... got some shop don’t accept online as price matching but what about my friend as the source(except that he preorders and then ship out, which is slower than retail stores)

usually i list down the parts I want, then i write on the paper some prices - VN, ALL IT, TM.

THen I pass to the staff at counter to double confirm stock and price.

I never ask for discount but the staff automatically knows what to do since there are lots of information there.

Guys

Any review on IdealTech?

Slightly expensive but their CS is good or not?
*
not sure about anybody else's experience.. but idealtech was good for me

a friend also bought from them then a cicak got into his desktop.. ruining his graphic card.. he sent to idealtech back to service.. they didn't have any stock left for the card.. need to wait at least 2 weeks, so they put a different graphic card instead for him to use during the 2 weeks while waiting.. and it didn't even take 2 weeks.. 1 week plus they called him back said the graphic card was in stock again
