Abu Sahid meanwhile said the government’s decision to keep PLUS was “stupid”, adding that Khazanah was “stealing money”.

Abu Sahid Mohamed of Maju Holdings called the decision “stupid”, and questioned why it was not conveyed to him despite his company being invited to make an offer.
They must remember I was invited to quote, to bid. Not like other people who just entered without invitation,” he said.

He went on to call for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate Shahril.

He said his company’s cost of resurfacing highways was only one-third of Khazanah’s cost.

“They are paying RM58 per metre square for resurfacing the road. I am paying RM18.”


In its amended proposal in October last year, Maju Holdings had offered to buy PLUS for RM34.9 billion including debt.

The company said it would be able to reduce toll charges by 25% to 36%, adding that it was not seeking financial compensation from the government for the reduction.

The company had also cited its cost-effective management of the MEX Highway.

“In fact, we have one of the lowest costs per kilometre in the country. As such, we are confident we will be able to reduce maintenance costs for PLUS,” it said.

Meanwhile ....
PLUS would be given 20-year extension of toll concession ... 18 years + 20 years = 38 years wadepak!!! vmad.gif wadepak!!!

Sungai Besi Maju KL Development pun ada masalah nak bayar piling contractor RM67 million, sini nak bayar pulak dengan RM34.9 billion including debt untuk PLUS.

PLUS I think is a cash cow for the government due to inefficiencies. Western countries will stop collecting toll once it is paid up but in Malaysia it is toll collection for life. Why pay taxes then? When will the cost be recovered? After so many donkey years you have traffic jam during festive season and yet kena pay toll. That is why Malaysia likes monopoly. Just look at TM before and after PH came in, we benefited from cheaper internet.

how does the tender system in m'sia work??

everyone submits a price anonymously and then they choose the best price? After that, do they reveal everyone's ask price?

Propose with near break even price to maintain the rd.
Buy Plus with no fund.
Take plus projected income to take loan.
Use loan to pay gov.
Give big bonus next 3-5 years based on Plus projected income.
Exit

pandai cakap, resurfacing work ask Khazanah sub to you, but make sure you provide 5 years warranty. RM18 maybe can only last 1 year.

and we pay tolls to PLUS so they return some 'crumbs' to KWSP as dividends, the rest is siphoned off
