Since you're the only one that answered both.

Getting acknowledged is definitely a short-term motivation but it makes you feel proud.

Do you feel acknowledgement and climbing up the ranks in company have correlation? Although this is a weak question but I would like to know your input

Fuck la praise email congratulations employee of the month or whatever
I want money like 50 also can

The effect definitely feel less powerful when you send group email.

If acknowledgement was given to you personally 1:1 for the good job you've done this week.

Would it not have motivated you the following day?

What's the frequency of patting / acknowledgement.
How often you get that? or how often the manager does that?

Weekly or monthly or annually basis?

Technically you agreed that motivation is the combination of rewards + recognition

When you first answered, you inclined towards financial incentives only.

Afaik there's only 3 types of Bos

No praise, no monetary/promotion incentive. Typical Chinaman boss, work is your obligation.

Give praise but no monetary/promotion. This is mnc boss, you are good but unfortunately you are not on their special list. So while they will praise you on your face, behind you are just another drone to them

Get praise & incentive. Congrats. You made the inner circle of the corporate culture. Even your Fark up is treated as success. Glory and promotion will be yours as long as you play your cards right , don't overstep your boss and pray your above bosses don't get changed/removed until u progress further

1 - will I be happy if boss praise? It depends. Is the boss someone who you respect? Or is boss someone who have no clue what your job is and only give you praise because he/she felt you want cabut already? How frequent is praise given? If good also praise, bad also praise, do nothing also praise (by clueless boss), will the praise mean anything? Is it a meaningful or empty praise?

2 - monetary reward seems like the safest way to make am employee happy I suppose. Money will be a good thing to an employee irregardless given by good or bad boss.
