Dah lama saya tak buka oat hampir setahun . sekali buka banyak kutu dalam oat .. hari tu beras tak buka setahun banyak kutu .

dont know di mana kutu2 ini wujud .. adakah selama ini kutu memang ada dalam beras dan oat ...

kalau korang adakah korang akan buang atau letak dalam air panas atau makan sekali dengan kutu2 tersebut .. bincangkan

weevil? if oat, just throw it away. since it is soft.

if rice, u put under the sun for a few days. all weevil will run away/die, even the eggs will die if the sun is strong enough.

Just spread out ur rice or oats on a newspaper or sumthing n all the kutu will go crawling away. But even if u makan the kutu also xde hal. Since it's kutu beras. Plus, if the kutu makan ur oats or rice n then mati baru u kena takut. Means lots of pesticides inside the rice, or in this case, oats.

The eggs already inside the oat/beras before its even harvested.

U can keep it in the fridge confirm no kuku because all dieded, or u are just eating unhatched kuku.


Think about it, its actually good to have kuku because u know it means they dont use much pesticide.. If u buy those expensive ones less kuku but i believe its either they use alot pesticide or they already killed the kuku (perhaps UV light) before packing.

Those kuku are rather clean because they just eat the oat/beras mah...extra protein yo

In the end gave up and buang

Oat usually hard to get kutu inside. Unless not sealed tightly. Last time my aunt bought a punctured bag of oats. In that same week open the bag and it had lots of kutu inside. Meanwhile the tub of oats that i makan everyday are not infected because sealed tightly.

Rice also same. I tried putting a few whole garlic inside rice. Still those things breed. But the rice smell nice la. Wanna try dried chili or Ginger next.

why u simpan until 1 year lah?
next time oat, before u open the bag, u put the bag in the freezer for a week. it'll kill them bugs and eggs.
rice, i tried cili kering. but cili kering got its own bugs as well. so now i use asam keping and other stuff. lupa ady. if u wanna know, pm me remind me to check what else i put.

Those are probably weevils.. there could be existing infestation in the oats.. I would throw them away

Weevils are crunchy if you cook with low heat

you need to vacuum seal, else all hibernated eggs will hatch.... same as those dry corn or kacang kuda....put long time without all vacuum seal....this is what you be getting, same as rice too. rice for consumption, don't buy more than 2 [10kg] packs if you are cooking alone.

Oat you must put in zip lock bag (tupperware cannot). Beras put in fridge, the "kutu" can't survive in low temperature.

Dont buy rice that have high % of beras hancur..
I just buy 2kg jasmine basmati one.. can last like 1 - 2 months.. and it got seal one..

For oats better buang je la.. cannot do much..
Or buy the 3-in-1 one

All rice oats in the world have such parasite laid their egg
Best is to keep beras and oats completely dry
It's harmless and extra protein but
Can youtube how to make the drying process while in home that prevent such kutu from happening
