Sometimes I don’t understand this kind of people. Claim they are malaysian, but talk about memperkasakan bahasa mandarin as if you can’t survive without mandarin. My bosses from germany don’t know shit about mandarin but they are doing fine. Heck even a regional manager from china speaks english to us not mandarin when we have regional meeting.

Just leave the duty of memperkasakan bahasa mandarin to PRC. Stop comparing national language and optional language that not everyone find useful.

Actually learning BM is very easy if you mingle with people that speak the language. I got one kelik, a banana, went to english private school his whole life, never have a malay friend to talk with, until he started to join youth national football team training. He learned his BM over there because most trainees there speaks only BM and he can speak fluent BM since then. But don’t expect him to write an essay in BM la. Fluent conversational BM.

Just look at the famous Englishman who lives in Terengganu by the name mat dan. He never had formal learning in BM. Just mingling with locals.

That's the problem. Not everyone will have the confidence to try again and again and be laugh at.

I agree should start young but our school syllabus have never really emphasize on practical. Ujian lisan is a joke. Frankly, speaking they should really teach children on conversation usage of languages especially in primary schools instead of by the book type of teaching.

Don't just plotek plotek la. Stick to the real issue, don't suddenly talk about other things. It's true that many (NOT ALL) chinese from SJKC cant speak BM for shits. I got many chinese friends from SK that can speak proper BM. So come on, be a Malaysian, learn your basic BM at least. Not to be racist, but this is the real fact.

Itulah. SK tak payah cerita lah. Kawan aku sekolah rendah dulu, lahir & membesar kat ostrolia, cina, masuk SK darjah 4, tak sampai setahun dah boleh cakap BM & Klate. By darjah 6 dah fasih mengalahkah SJK student duduk malaysia seumur hidup.

Oh. Aku rapat dgn dia pon sbb bahasa. Sbb tak ramai sekolah rendah aku dulu reti skipping.

Why not you ensure every Malay boys and girls passes the bahasa exam in school then only you start to brag?

And to add it on, can you also guarantee that every single Bangladeshis in Malaysia can speak bahasa?

So your comparison is worthless. You do not even have basic logic and humanity, let alone trying to ask other races to learn a language properly.
