DCT with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty is a bold statement from proton

no DCT ever lasted 5 years without any mechanical problem before

1. cars nowadays are never meant to last long, the lifespan is just gonna get shorter and shorter as times goes
else how do they maintain the company afloat
2. no DCT right now ever lasted even 3 years without any problems before
so that's why i saw 5 years unlimited warranty is a very bold statement

the only real competitor right now is the DCT inside the honda city hybrid, i didn't follow them so am not sure if their DCT encounter any problems yet

punch CVT sucks in terms of usage
but it doesn't mean it's unreliable

people don't like it is because it doesn't work like other japanese CVT
but nobody doubted it's reliability yet

gone are the days of front headlamp and rear tail light made out of glass and last forever too

it may have been it's over the torque limit

from what i remember, the GB's limit for torque and the number of torque the engine produce is very near
not yet included the aftermarket mods that some drivers did to increase torque
