If you malas baca, here got TL:DR summary

- 1.8T paired with 7DCT gearbox, engine now has 15nm more torque(300nm) and DCT is backed up with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty

- Faster 0-100kmh(9.5 vs 10.5 sec) and fuel economy (7.5 vs 7.8l/100km)

- Power tailgate on Exec and Premium (foot sensor opening for Premium)

- Two new color options, one of which is Ruby Red

- Ventilated front seats which direct cold air onto your back and bottom(Exec and Premium)

Price dunno yet, but likely gonna be retained from CBU

Please, let everything in this report be true, especially those ventilated seats 😂

Report says that 1.5T was planned initially but now the CKD will only come with 1.8T. The smaller engine might be reserved for X50.

Why not ask the third national carmaker, Dreamedge to make it

They are partnering with Daihatsu/Perodua, the originators of Myvi which is known for flying

More torque+better gearbox and Proton involvement with Ride & Handling. Should be noticeably better to drive than current CBU.

Premium got two versions, no sunroof and with sunroof.

Hopefully the one with sunroof has a thicker or opaque sunroof cover. I myself notice the cover is too thin for the CBU model.

1.8T+7DCT is faster than stated, with testing in China getting a time of 9.06 seconds according to automachi

Have to please differing market needs I guess. Some want the nappa leather but don't want to deal with a moving glass panel on the roof.

And now that the slow selling Exec AWD is no more, can make room for variants that could potentially sell more.

The current CBU prices are already very good value as is. I don't think anyone will complain if specs go up but prices stay the same.

With gov mulling to restructure tax and duty rates of automobiles, who knows what effect it will have on the price sold.

actually no price drop but add features should be the correct strategy... else the current CBU range market price will drop a lot also, then existing owners rage... see now many old models saga owner rage since new saga cost lesser... so can expect minimal price drop for top spec...

But we've been used to CKD = cheaper price... (whether adding features or not)
