Recently started playing Emerald on an Emulator on the phone, damn it brings back fond memories.
Been playing an hour or two, taking it slow since last week to enjoy the journey.

My first ever Pokemon game was Gold on the GBC. Training to be the very best (in-game) again brought back some random wtf moments too.
What are the things about the game that makes you go like....What??? rolleyes.gif

I'll go first.
The one that gets me every time is the "It's not very effective." But the foe died, especially in 1 hit.
Then there's the saving the Pokemon world, but then you have the liberty to go training your Pokemon up a few levels, before going to fight whoever is making havoc.

Just for laughs aight, share what you've encountered throughout your journey to be the very best!

Yeah, Gold was amazing. Logged the most play time. Exploring two different regions in one game.
That shaking tree!

Funny thing is, you need a pail. Water to splash on it. When you actually have a water Pokemon who can just watergun that tree.

Was still a kid then, to only realize that majority of the cartridge sold were counterfeits anyway.
Especially those “multi game” cartridges with like 50 games in one including Pokémon.

It was fun to trade and battle friends using a link cable. Funnily enough, I actually did trade with friends way more back then with a link cable than with WiFi these days.

Link cable! I never ever had the opportunity to trade Pokemons back then. The only trades I did get were from the NPCs in game.
