I just recently bought a Panasonic smart tv and it has a Panasonic own OS which I find really crap and I'm not even able to download any apps. Only a few downloadable apps.

I am a Malaysian Indian so getting some good reliable steaming services like Hyyptv, Netflix, amazon prime doesn't have proper Indian content as well.


then I heard about this IPTV boxes like the TX6 Smart Android TV Box and many similar like boxes.

They say it comes with 10000 channels and seems like its free which is very odd. How are they getting this free?
And there are so many variants and some require to top up(i don't understand this part) so it made things even difficult.

Basically all I want is a box that streams all Indian channels and English channels. anything more, it's even better. I don't mind paying monthly subscriptions as well but kalau boleh free lah (so Malaysian)

So what are the options available out there? please educate me on how this box works, is there any tweaking that needs to be done? I prefer plug and play. Also nothing app-based like yuptv (i can't download this in my Panasonic tv)

"free" in that they are pirated content.

"monthly subscription", "top up" means additional, illegit, no guarantee, no refund if close down.

locally, the only legit/legal ones are netflix, unifi@playtv, astrogo, iflix, dimsum apps.

your best bet will be a box that can do astrogo and playtv, u use id/password of some existing subscriber with the channels u want - u get the same.

I've had quite a few IPTV boxes and I can say that almost all of them don't live long. Such as X96 mini, World Vision i64 etc. But the MAG324 does its job fairly well and for a long time. For its price it is a pretty good device.

I don’t know anything about ponosonics, but I would recommend those who are going to buy a IPTV set-top box - MAG324
or some other. I bought it at the switchonshop store and have no problems lol.

I ran an e-commerce business focusing on Android boxes and streaming devices (2015-2017) and was lucky enough to have access and tested most devices from generic Android boxes to higher end Minix boxes, MAG, AVOV, Dreamlink, Formuler, BuzzTV, Nvidia Shields, and the Amazon line including the Fire Stick 4K. As an industry hobbyist since 2009, and currently running a small team that tests server loads and performances for IPTV servers, we still have most devices on hand but its almost unanimous when it comes down to our favorite one.

The most balanced device in my opinion and what I travel with is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K.

- access to Amazon Prime, Music etc
- runs any IPTV app flawlessly like STB Emulator Pro, Perfect Player, TiviMate, custom IPTV apps etc.
- Alexa voice command via the remote for simpler search and control

just get a android tv boxes. cheap cheap like tx3 or tx 6 kosong ..and buy the joytv app above lifetime ..install it and put in the code and voila u have access to live tv and vod movies and dramas.

yes the feed is illegal .

u just need to subscribe a 50-100Mbps fast fibre and u can watch all of the above with no lag pretty cheap considering lifetime is 280 RM

Well, alot of people actually requested india channels on TV box. But I have come across one TV box will quite a complete set of india channels with a very affordable price (one off payment for life time).

Have you tested xbox one? I mean the cheap one 1st generation can do all i think except cannot run android.

What’s makes the TV boxes to purr are the apps. In your case, before looking into the type of boxes (almost all run on Android OS), test out the apps available. There are paid subscription services for Indian content, but most are available only in India due to copyright reasons. You could use a VPN to bypass the restrictions.

Yeah, many IPTV boxes claimed fully loaded, but they are just offering Kodee addons, or watch ads for few channels like Pluto TV.

Sorry, no because there wasn't much support for it back then except to run Kodi. There are lots of cheaper, faster, and more reliable options today.

Pair any of them with a stable IPTV service with multiple connections (RM45/mo), and you truly have the convenience of watching anything from every device at anytime. I don't travel anywhere without my Amazon Fire Stick 4K and Samsung Tab S4 and I never miss anything when I'm on the road.

From my experience as a hardware reseller and digital marketing for clients in the IPTV space, I can tell you that "lifetime IPTV" is never lifetime. Your device has a built in shelf life based on either the hardware (CPU/GPU/WiFi burning out) or the firmware and/or OS becoming outdated. Even IPTV services themselves go down, close, or are shut down all the time.

Your safest, cheapest, and least risky route is to get a solid Android device and IPTV subscription separately. Never add more than 3 months at a time to hedge your risk. And simply switch to a different provider if one goes down.

I won't argue with your opinion based on your experience. We have independent server and have the dedicated app pre-installed, even when the app shut down, we still have backups. We've served other regions for more than 5 years, and we've served English market over 1 year, not a single customer complained their service has been cessed.

Every device has different specs so without 2 specific models, the question would be equivalent to, what are the pro and cons of using a car versus SUV. Physical size/portability would be only answer that applies to the TV stick vs TV box question but only really matters if you bring your device with you and travel often.

I recommend the Amazon Fire Stick 4K based on its ability to run every IPTV related app without issues and popular services like Amazon Prime and Netflix in 4K, all while being small enough to carry in your pocket, and needing just the included USB cable to power the device from any USB input.

I'm all for giving any reseller or service the benefit of the doubt, but if you expect me or anyone from any service based industry to believe that in 5 years, or even over the last 12 months, that any service has never had even 1 complaint from a consumer, then I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that just doesn't happen in the real world.

Even providers with vastly superior resources like Netflix experience outages and issues, and they only provide VOD titles. Live IPTV is infinitely more volatile because it requires the recording and instant re-transmission of a live feed. Every service has flaws and every IPTV service will run differently for every subscriber based on device specs, internet speeds, Wifi strength, interference at location/home/work, internet provider and how they route/shape traffic, geographic location, etc. I have access to multiple servers for my daily use, and I can tell you that there is no "1 size fits all" solution when it comes to IPTV.

On a sidenote, for any reseller, make note that today's consumers are better informed than ever before and its no surprise that they strongly value authenticity and transparency when making their buying decisions.
