i have a Maxtor 40GB DiamondMax Plus 8 , 6E040L0
and when i load on bios it will mistakenly detect as N40P and it fails to load,, ive found many thread discussing this, but all suggesting the firmware or PCB failure.. i dont quite unerstand this pls help asap as i have all my project report on the HDD..    |

ok, i'll try the salvation repairer first.. then i might try the freezer... thx
