My CC limit for a certain bank I'm with since 2000 (was 5k limit) was increased automatically every few years without updating my salary also
they never called nor SMS about the limit increase
now I can just swipe my card to buy a Vios/City without loan if I want

QUOTE(bret7 @ Jan 7 2020, 03:03 PM) Weird indeed. I got RM12k limit when I was a fresh-grad, but without house loans. Depends on bank, I guess? Dude, that's impressive man. My first CC limit upon entering working world back in 2008 was a measly RM3K.

Usually, there is no cons towards the customer. An increased limit actually benefits your Credit Score a little. Reason being is that, assuming you maintain the same level of spending before, you utilise a lower percentage of your available limit, which is good for other banks in evaluating your credit score. The limits do show up in BNM's CCRIS records
