i know there is a phone recommendation thread but i wanted to know Grab drivers opinion for best phone. my budget around rm600 and need good GPS (i tried 2 models xiaomi and both had problem locking GPS).

want better gps, buy hp with snapdragon processor

actually if u want cheap one, normally is xiaomi brand but as u say u use before xiaomi....

so u must check what is the previous processor u are using ...

if your old xiaomi hp is using snapdragon processor then u try other brand like huawei ....

if not then can try xiaomi note 8, less than 600, can check out in lazada or shopee

Actually snapdragon is the one with poor gps signal, even on new high end phone u can lost signal. So read review before buying any phone, xiaomi is worst i know.

I use snapdragon but i dont have any issue on gps....

But actually is better to go to android section n ask those who have use the model u interested.....

Google is best friend, search something for the model like "mi 9 gps signal lost + forum". U can find many complaints on xiaomi phone gps but very few complain on oppo etc. People in Android section not really heavy tester, many of them will say xiaomi gps have no problem for example.

I bought Xioami MI A1 for Grab. The worse idea ever. The GPS almost impossible to lock. Currently using my old Blackberry Priv. Its damn sluggish and heats up till can burn your fingers but the GPS locks instantly. Soon have to find replacement also.

My wife is using Huawei Nova 2i or something like that and the GPS is pretty stable in that as well.
