Grab driver recommendation for budget phone, no GPS problems

I bought Xioami MI A1 for Grab. The worse idea ever. The GPS almost impossible to lock. Currently using my old Blackberry Priv. Its damn sluggish and heats up till can burn your fingers but the GPS locks instantly. Soon have to find replacement also.
My wife is using Huawei Nova 2i or something like that and the GPS is pretty stable in that as well. |

I see a lot of this second hand s8 and s9 goin for RM700 to rm1000 on lazada. Safe to try those?
