Its not PCI-E problem..i think is DRAM:FSB ratio, locking the PCI-E frequency~

hi..i got a question about locking the PCI-E frequency when changing the FSB frequency. here is my condition: - my proc is pentium D 2.66, i change the fsb to 150 means OC to 3.0Ghz -in bios, the setting for PCI-E is set at auto, from wat i heard, it is better to set PCI-E at 100Mhz and PCI at 33.3Mhz if we OC right?..but when i change the fsb to 150 and set the PCI-E to 100 and restart the pc...the bios automatically set both fsb and the PCI-E bac to the original one..wondering why?..
*for ur info, the mobo i using is Gigabyte which can be found on my sig.
the 2nd question is..is there any harm if we just put the PCI-E to auto?..thanx

QUOTE(t3chn0m4nc3r @ Jul 17 2007, 06:54 PM) i thought all PD FSB are 200 at stock... Gigabyte mobo got auto reset incase ur OC not stable... most good mobo have already by now... hmm..but wat i heard is PCI-e frequency is 100Mhz wor...ya.i think bcoz of this auto reset then i cant seem to lock my pci-e at 100Mhz

currently manage to run my PD at 3.4Ghz...after doing some manipulation to the DRAM:FSB ...i think somehow my mobo will limit the DRAM freq..so if i lower down means got larger space to increase my fsb..am i correct?..hehe...correct me ya i am wrong..
