QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ May 30 2020, 10:50 PM) Does both IPF and MPF are considered as money market fund? MER for IPF is 0.65%, SC is up to 2% offline and 0% using Opus Touch, II is RM 1000IPF is a bond fund. MPF is money market fund What are their management fee, sales charge and initial placement amount? I cannot find these info in their website. MER for IPF is 0.65%, SC is up to 2% offline and 0% using Opus Touch, II is RM 1000 PHS: https://www.opusasset.com/wp-content/upload...v=1590850145428 Annual Report: https://www.opusasset.com/wp-content/upload...v=1590849983151 MER for MPF is 0.28%, SC is 0%, II is RM 1000 PHS: https://www.opusasset.com/wp-content/upload...v=1590850490024 Annual Report: https://www.opusasset.com/wp-content/upload...v=1590849983151 Why the Shariah short term low risk asset fund has no movement in the graph? Is it less popular? The fund is launched on 06/05/2020. Less than a month old. PHS: https://www.opusasset.com/wp-content/upload...v=1590850145428 So far, are you happy with their fund performance or anyone planing to exit? No plan to exit at all. MER for MPF is 0.28%, SC is 0%, II is RM 1000 Say my total investment is rm1000, fees that i get charged per annum is:- 1000x0.65% = rm6.50 1000x0.28% = rm2.80 is this calculation correct ? nothing else right |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jul 20 2020, 08:17 PM) Fund management fee and trustee fee are accrued in daily basis and reflected in daily published NAV. meaning i'll get charged from the "background" right ? say i buy the fund at nav 1.08 today, and decided to sell tomorrow at nav 1.05, the charges are already factored in the nav 1.05 ? |

QUOTE(funboy555 @ Jul 21 2020, 10:25 AM) Agreed. That's why for new investors they suggest IPF and SIPF. may i know where can we see the bond maturity date? or rather do we need to know the bond maturity date before investing in IPF, is it necessary ? Uncle, IPF is for medium to long term investment, you can always checkout their website to download the fund factsheet or call their customer services to explain to you, i think they are quite helpful and more than willing to share with uncle the difference. I personally put both before, MPF is rather safe is just slightly better than FD rate, but FD although higher risk, but looking at their credit profile and sectors allocation in fund fact sheet, most of the holdings are quite liquid. As at June, the portfolio yield for IPF is 3.4%, MPF is 2.5%. meaning to say the bond holdings that they had in the portfolio, without any movement and they hold it till maturity then that's the yield you may gain from the investment. But uncle has to understand, higher risk, higher return or higher loss. That's the main difference from my point of view. what happened if i bought the IPF today and the bond maturity date is 1 month from now, does that mean will most likely loose money as the bond is expiring soon ? and why are some sifu here still timing the market, selling off the IPF before the nav drops ? |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jul 23 2020, 06:25 PM) Opus which fund vs SAMY which risk % portfolio? Opus income fund vs SAMY 22% ... just wanted to gauge how's the performance so farThe question is you're asking is basically open-ended question. And also Opus funds are dominantly in MYR while SAMY in USD (except for Simple). let just say rm10k each, which will perform better |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Sep 30 2020, 01:23 PM) Can. Just email clientservices. Done it before. Furthermore you must have held alot of units as only distribution > RM100 will have the option to credit to bank. i.e. if even if u choose this option, if your distribution entitlement < RM100 you will still get unit reinvestment. am still new here, would it be better to reinvest the distribution or cash out ? what is your experience so far ? |
