QUOTE(zeist @ Jan 3 2020, 10:36 AM) This knee problem going to hospital the doctor can't do anything. Probably knee cap misaligned or something. Then they will propose to you do surgery. lel My friend did the surgery for misaligned knee cap though. No harm whatsoever, just do the exercises actively after that.If you go to a good doctor, there won't be any scars also; e.g., I had ACL surgery with only 2 dots above and below my knee. Can't even see now. |

QUOTE(zeist @ Jan 3 2020, 10:44 AM) Walking is good for the knee Though I agree with surgery as a last resort, but to be fair, it depends. Having the surgery early could make it less complicated - just my 2cents from my experience; i.e., I waited 2 weeks for classes to end to go to the hospital and do a proper MRI and surgery, turns out my meniscus really suffered because of that. Now, everything's all right, even my insurance removed it from their exclusion. My knee injury isn't that severe. Can still walk and run like normal. Unlike a friend of mine, he walks like an OKU (one leg short and long) and it is painful each time he walks) If walking feel pain, then is abnormal. Need to do surgery asap Surgery is the last resort My friend could barely walk for 1/2 an hour, so he really had to do it. This post has been edited by Jescon: Jan 3 2020, 10:58 AM |

QUOTE(Travis_Bickle @ Jan 3 2020, 12:09 PM) How long did it take you to recover after the surgery? From what I've read, it would be a few days in the hospital then 1-2 months of physiotherapy and rehab right? Yes, that's correct. It took me a month because I was rushing to go back to Uni that time. I was doing physio exercise everyday to get my muscles around the knee back to working condition. |
