Or u don't check at all while cutting lane. I wan cut lane this morning suddenly got a mottor appear out of nowhere. ANd I bang into one few months ago. He almost lost his leg. Thank god I ddint get sued.
I am considering a car with blind spot monitor. I watch youtube like we are suppose to do a shoulder check. which means u rotate ur head over ur shoulder to check if any sneaky car there. But I almost broke my neck when I do that.
Whenever I switch lane, I'll look into the mirror and SPEED UP BEFORE merging. Match the speed of the incoming lane to minimise such thing. You'll also get to see anything in your blind spot when you suddenly increase your speed.
which means u rotate ur head over ur shoulder to check if any sneaky car there. This is the correct way to drive
But I almost broke my neck when I do that. this mean u are too stupiak too drive. please buy a car with a blind spot monitor and hope it can help you drive better. or please stop driving and naik grab/teksi

When signal, even before turning, if there is something in our blindspot... the car will start beeping. Warning lights will also flash on the dash/side mirror
1) see rear mirror if got incoming car or motorcycle. 2) see side mirror. 3) glance a bit at back passenger side.
Baru masuk.
But the most tricky part are those stupid motorcyclist that follow the same speed as me. And they just stay hidden at the blind spot. This 1 very cb type.

isnt this a alot of work. why i see some driver, they just move into the far right from far left with ease. Like within 1 second
Always turn your head to check your blind spots. It's not that difficult and can spare you and fellow road users the agony of getting into avoidable accidents.

the problem is these stupid motos expect you to know that they're there and giving way to them. Like asking for death only
Then u never faced those type of motorcyclist. When they do lane splitting, they are very near to ur car. If they just move faster or slower than u, they will leave ur blind spot eventually. But the problem arise when not only they do lane splitting, they move the same speed as u. Just stay at the back left side of ur car which is the blind spot. Moving just a bit can hit them. It depends entirely on the motor guy to notice we are changing lane. If they berangan, boom.
adjust your mirrors properly. when you glance at it you should not see (or see just a bit) of the side of your car. the more the mirror show your car, the bigger blind spot you'll get. don't forget to use the rear view mirror as well.

You bossku, no need check blindspot. People will give you enough space to move freely.
by turning your head la and watch the spot directly la. also this is one of the reason why dark tint is not good because it can affect your visibility significantly.
if it's motor, doesnt matter u turn and see ... u wont even see them until u are switching lane. why?
Because of this

There are some motorcyclist that love to do this. U cant see them in your side mirrors, but when u turn, they will suddenly appear.
anyways, do signal first if u wan to change lane ... after checking in clear, slowly steer into the lane sometimes ppl will horn u if they dont let you in .. or worse .. heck they will just bang ur car say is ur fault .. seen many of those incidents already
Betul, cuma kena setting side mirror properly sebenarnya. Macam gambar ini. Read somewhere the best way to adjust it is, to seat comfortably in the driver's seat. Then adjust the side view mirrors till you can slightly see the door handles. This way the mirror can cover a wider angle.
practice to check your mirrors every 5 seconds. this way u can predict a car/moto moving into your blindspot.
then if dont want turn neck buy small blindspot mirrors. practice to see it as the mirror is small.
then go jewtube and learn how to adjust your side mirrors. ayam always see some cars, which their driver adjust side mirrors still can see the car body. no need to see the car body, push it outward to cover as much area it can cover.

Buy the round or square blind spot mirror from MR DIY, RM5.90! Stick it on the closest end of the side mirror of your car. Learn to use it everyday. If not buy new car like CX3, CX5, Nissan X-trail, Subaru.

I dunno how good is your peripheral vision. The goal is just to see if there is an object in your blindspot, No need to turn your head all the way over, you only need to know if there is anything there, not ask you to identify car brand/model/number plate.
Alternatively, you can lean forward while looking at your side mirror.
Always check your mirrors regularly while driving so you can maintain constant awareness of the vehicles moving around you. For example, if there was a car in your rear view mirror 5 seconds ago but now it is gone, then be careful when you want to change lanes because it might be in your blindspot.
But most important of all, set up your mirrors properly
If you cannot manage all of the above while driving....call a Grabcar next time.

No, your vehicle should never be seen in the side mirrors.
To have your vehicle visible within the side mirrors, all you have to do is move your head forward and/or closer towards the mirror (left or right)
You'll only ever need to do this when you're parking in tight spots and/or very slow maneuvers.
Practicing constant awareness on your vehicle surrounding will also reduce the need to move your head or even physically turning your neck/head to look. (At blind spots)
The car I drive will further emphasis the importance of proper mirror adjustment considering the entire rear/ sides are huge blindspots
2. TS fix your freaking mirror, I bet 1/2 of your view is the nice shiny side of your car
3. Sometimes you can see their freaking blind spot monitor light up kao kao, they still terus cut into the front 3/4 of your car anyway
Kesimpulanye: no amount of head turning, blind spot mirror or technology will ever prevent people from just cutting into your lane whenever they feel like

When they teach you at driving school and when you test for driving licence, before changing lane, turn your fucking head to check blindspot.
I wasn't taught to check blind spots in the 90's. What they emphasized was to give signal using arm when riding and driving (nevermind that air conditioner was a common feature in cars even during that time).

My car blind spot monitor sometimes miss motorbike, there's a radar device on the edge or rear bumper. Sometimes the motor comes at certain angle can't detect them.

I try to check the coast is clear first before signalling. No point confusing other road users by signalling if there's a car right beside or near me or coming in fast - unless my intention is to allow them time to consider backing off and let me pass during heavy traffic.
Fully agree with motorcyclist part. I guess those who do this don't drive, hence they're not aware of the danger.

Turn head to check blindspot then car infront emergency brake gg
Lol quite true, but it's just to glance for any obstacle, not to see whether the other driver is good looking or not. I guess it's a risk we need to take.
