As title, my Galaxy 8500 GE the card temperature is around 65C in idle stage with the original heatsink ?

Any recommendation for a better 3rd party heatsink fan ?? Budget is around RM 40-50. (low budget sad.gif )

For RM40-50 its hard to get anything that will outperform the stock heatsink of a 8500, unless you can bargain with someone till his pants fall off blink.gif

yea.. for your budget.. its hard to get a good vga cooler... I'm using the same Galaxy 8500GT as yours.. i've just change the original heatsink fan with an old Zalman Vf700-AlCu cooler.... cost around RM 110.... there's other new n better model for Zalman out there... its better u change to a new vga cooler because my temp decrease around 5 -7 celcius with the zalman cooler......

i tot 8500GE is using the cooler master coolviva too ? idle at 65oC is seriously high.............

well the vantec/vizo pci cooling solution does do much at low speed, high would help but the noise is not that comfortable

try to get a exhaust fan near ur GPU area, that would help a lot

cool viva is a piece of crap, enuff said. bought one tried it, and my card temp under load/idle was higher then the stock HSF

there is 2 versions of cool viva, cool viva aluminium and cool viva copper, but we can only get aluminium version here.

Irresistible,

1. how's your casing air-flow?
2. where's your casing situated? (floor? table?)
3. how's the ambient temp? (in aircond room? hot room?)

yeap, like i said, u cant get a copper one here in msia, afaik, its for US market only, unless ofc im mistaken and there is one selling here in msia.

how is ur mounting holes? got a pic of the mounting punya lubang? u might wanna try evercool turbo 2 for rm 80 or coolviva pro at rm 95, or u can even get zalman coolers if ur a fanatic of zalman products, but my previous 2 recommendation is better value:performance ratio

hmm...ur mobo is m-atx or atx? u might wanna get some better fans from allngap or sum ppl selling delta/nmb/sunon fans in the garage sales.

or to save u alot of money, u can just buy an rm 30 table fan, take off a sidepanel and blow it with it, sure tah pau all the casing fans u can ever have lolz
