QUOTE(Simply_Ed @ Dec 10 2018, 09:47 AM) Hey guys, I’m around Bandar Sri Damansara area. Looking for a an acoustic/blues teacher available for lessons on weeknights or weekends. I’m self taught with experience playing fingerstyle and chords. Would consider myself beginner bordering intermediate. Wanting to improve playing to be able to perform in open mics. Any recommendations for a teacher ?

Getting Started

|
Hi fellow fingerstyle friend, how long have u been playing guitar and what is the reason you need a local teacher? Is the online sources insufficient?
The reason I am asking the above questions because I just started learning Fingerstyle on YouTube this month. It's just for hobby and also to reduce my game addiction. Quite stress with work lately. I been listening to fingerstyle cover to calm my mind and now wanted to learn it instead of listening to it.
Would love to know your feedback and experience. Thanks

QUOTE(Jimmywong4738 @ Dec 26 2019, 07:15 AM) Hello there. I play classical guitar and have been playing guitar for more than a decade. Just started teaching recently. I believe the style difference between fingerpicking on an acoustic vs nylon varies differently and I might need to look at your current playing style before I can craft a lesson plan for you. Can you PM me with a quote?

Thanks Well most of the fingerstyle lessons i saw online are aimed at beginners. If you want to reach a higher level you need to experiment and teach yourself.
